Mr brain and Black and white last episode review

this review is way belated i know but well, i just thought i should still do a sum up.

Took some time to watch the last episode of Mr Brain 08...
Kinda lame ending for a series that had shown so much potential. It's like they ran dry on ideas on how to end it. The last epi never accounted why that bald cop is instigating the guy to expose the 3 officials for their mistake 18yrs ago. So a poor guy got imprisoned for a crime he never committed and the real killer is on the loose and the guy was bribed into admitting his guilt on condition to save his life from some illness while in prison. this guy decided to turn free and exact revenge on the 3 officials who wrongfully indict him, with help from the bald guy.
so who exactly is this mysterious bald cop. What is his role? So many questions, so little answers or rather begging for one. So it was kinda anti climax ending for me.

Also watched the last episode for black and white. Another one of those crappy loose but happy ending story though I think it fared slightly better than Mr Brain in terms of context. At least everyone is accountable for and the twist and plots are relatively glued together. the bad guys got their arse whopped, and killed. everyone goes home. What remained weird was how could that girl that Vic Zhou liked be part of the bad guys. That is kinda too far fetched. What is she doing in Mac Donald when the plot hasnt even started yet? It's like she is undercover for what in a fast food joint back then? She doesnt even know Vic Zhou identity back then. These sort of bad guys are like looming around working shitty job in spare time when they are not running around bombing the world? Stupid. Also, it was a little unsatisfying coz there was no mention of the relationship part between Vic Zhou and the girl, or the forensic girl? If its me, I'll pick the forensic girl man. I think that San Lian girl is better suited to that guy who sailed away. I found it so funny that everything started with an affair that no one knew was going to be a threat to a nation. Sooo far fetched.

Ok that's about it for my loose tie up for those drama that ended.
still counting down to my paper....arrrrggghhh

I haven't watched Ep 7 and 8 of Mr. Brain.I was surprised that they ended it quickly on
ep 8. Maybe that's why they don't have enough time to explain all the reason behind the case.
As for Black and white, I just watched the series marathon. I must said that it's quite refreshing since there's no such a drama like this from taiwan ( you know that taiwan's drama mostly are romantic comedy type). The storyline is quite good but confusing at the same time. I hate those "who's the son" " who's the dad" plot.Anyway, I still enjoy it.
Heard that they will have a movie sequel for black and white, so maybe the romance problem and the mc donald girl's motive will be solved in the movie.
Agree with you, I want that san lian girl to be with xiao ma and Zai tian with xi ying. Xi ying is very nice, too bad that ying xiong didn't realize it.

yeah i was a little surprised they ended it so quickly for mr brain.

i agree with u black and white is truly refreshing.. i think i am in love with mark chao...haaaa haaa. he is soooo cool esp towards the end when he is not the uptight fanatic cool and has a more humane aspect... you are right, they are screening the movie soon and i wonder what is gonna be in it... i really cannot wait man

yes yes xiao ma, i forgot his name. glad to know i aint the only one who thinks they make a better pair.

xi ying is soooo sweet.... and bloody sharp aim with the gun too. i sure wont want to piss her man. well somehow i think xiying and yin xiong are too alike to be a couple, i see them better as a brother and sister fit actually. vic chao with his flippant attitude at times will be a better match anyway with her sweet gentle side. haaa haa.

well, i definitely am waiting for more good drama out of taiwan. they have quite a few good ones to date.

I guess I'm a little late with the comment. I also enjoyed black and white and didn't really like the "who's the son, who's the dad" plot either. I really enjoyed Vic performance in black and white, plus the chemistry he had with Mark Zhao and Janine Chang. Out of all the characters, I think Xi Ying, Xiao Ma and Zai Tian were the most well developed characters. Chen Lin character was too chaotic for me and Ying Xiong frankly annoyed me sometime with his stubbornness but great performance from Mark Zhao. Overall, it was a very refreshing series.

hey meadove, no comment is ever too late as far as i am concerned! heeee..

i agree with u on the slightly annoying part on ying xiong at the start, with his mule headed pigness..but i guess that was to constrast with later character development to share how zai tian mellow him down, and how his values are shaken and changed...to the point where zai tian was mocking him at how someone who detested and loathe the sanlian hui will be under their very protection. i think it was a great and apt line. haaaaa

as for that chen lin, u used the right word, chaotic. maybe she was a little too princess for me, i find that she is like demanding everyone to go her way, do her way and in a way, she was equally stubborn like ying xiong. ha they really should be silblings.

i really am looking fwd to the movie release. hopefully it will tie up some loose ends
