A new Taiwan drama has aired. After their last partnership in "It started with a Kiss", the 2 taiwanese actors Joe and Ariel, are featured once again as on-screen couple in this new series : Love or Bread (我的億萬麵包)

The main draw for the moment is frankly the 1.88m tall - Joe Cheng, whom I think resemble a little bit of Edison Chen esp when he posed for a smile, but without the bad boy air.
After finishing the first episode, the feeling is "It's ok...so so". I prob will give it another 2 more episodes to see how the story goes before deciding if I want to follow through.
Story Plot
24 year old Frank (by Joe) is a guy who lives his life in a façade, letting the world believe he's a wealthy young gentlemen. He often day dream about a life of the rich and indugles in branded goods despite being financially strapped for cash. Yet in reality, he is a lazybum who doesnt like to work hard, and a perpetual debt pauper. Having loaned money from the underground group, he had to escape their pursuit which led him to his first encounter with character Shan Mei.
The lead actress - Shan Mei (by Ariel) is a poor young woman, but kind, filial and very hard-working, the sole bread winner of her family (retired parents and jobless brother). Instead of saving money for herself, she blindly supported her boyfriend studying PHD in Hangzhou against her friends and parental advise, because her bf had promised to marry her on his graduation day. Unfortunately, she was ditched instead and ended up having to look for rental accomodation to avoid her family.
Both Frank and Shanmei, both are in need of housing, ended up sharing a run-down house together. Being totally opposite of each other in character, they constantly clash with each other. Yet over time, their "disasterous" relationship led them to a new destiny.
