Innocent Love Episode 10 Review

On the day of wedding, Kano's brother was working and the prison guy went to visit him. He asked why wasnt the brother at the wedding and he replied he is not suitable to attend such formal event. Just then Kano called.

Over the phone, Kano said she had something she had to say. "Thank you for taking care of me all this while." Caught by surprise, the brother apologised instead for his absence due to work as he was unable to take leave. Kano said she understood.

"Hey brother, without you, I would not have survive till now. So, to be able to meet Junya san, to be able to stand here today, its all thanks to you. I will be bliss. Do come see me next time" Kano said. Touched, the brother replied she must be happy before hanging up.

On the other hand, Junya spotted Subaru with the tickets and asked what was that. Subaru explained those were tickets to Paris, which he intended to go on holidays with Kio. Junya asked after Kio and Subaru said she is now much better, and able to move about like normal and even sang when in good spirits. Junya laughed expressing surprise that she would even sing. He turned serious and asked when is Subaru going to marry Kio, since that is most likely what she would hope for. Junya said he looked forward to the day when the four of them would get together and laughed together. Subaru kept quiet.

As junya was leaving, Subaru picked up his courage and said he had something to say.
"For the longest time, I have someone I liked alot. I had liked the person for 10years, but the person never noticed." Subaru shared. A surprised Junya asked "It isnt Kio?" Subaru shook his head and said no. "Because of that,my love for Kio will never be the way you love her. The person I love is someone else. "

"Who is the person you liked" Junya asked seriously. Subaru hesitated and decided to chicken out, saying forget it, pretend i didnt say anything. However, Junya was visibly affected by the conversation as he strolled out to meet the guest and Kano. Kano sensing something was wrong, asked Junya what was wrong bu he said all was fine and smiled at her. At that moment, Kio had made it to the roof top balcony, staring down at Junya tearfully. Junya, Kano and Subaru spotted her. An emotionally overwhelmed Kio decided to climb up the ledge and took slow steps before falling off. Junya dashed forward to catch her, resulting in him being crushed by Kio.

Kano rushed forward calling Jun repeatedly while Kio looked at her. Jun smiled at Kano before closing his eyes, and a pool of blood well up near his head.

At the hospital, Kano kept replaying the piano musical box hoping to stir him up but it was fruitless attempt for over the 3 days. Her brother came to visit her and asked if she had slept. Kano went on to explain when Kio was in critical condition back then, the musical box had helped but now.... Kano brother stepped forward and held her shoulders while she sobbed.

In the room, Subaru held Junya's hand and said he wanted to continue the other half of the conversation they had at his wedding, about the person that he liked. Subaru finally revealed the truth to a Jun who is still in coma. "The person that I liked is you. Shocked eh... Actually I had planned to go Paris and never return and never see you again. But now I am not going, because I want to be by your side. Because how could I leave you now when you are in this state. " Subaru started to cry.

(After some unspecified time, Junya awaken from coma in the hospital)

After Junya was discharged, Kano carefully cared for him as he had previously for Kio. While he was relatively mobile, but he was not able to speak. While changing his hand bandages, Jun hit Kano's face by reflex from pain. He looked shocked but Kano assured him all was fine and told him she would be more careful later.

While inserting their wedding pictures into the album, Kano was happily explaining each shot to Jun hoping to stir his memories. Jun looked on dispassionately with no recollection. Kano said everyone of the little kids hoped to see Jun smiled again, and added "so do i, so do i wish to see your smiling face again..." While she was sorting the pictures, Jun bent over and picked up the first couple shot they took. Kano excitedly explained that was the picture they had taken the first time, but before she could say more, Jun put it back with no visible change in expression. Kano was disappointed at the lack of response.

At the car garage, the reporter visited Kano bro. "U are working hard." "I have to." The brother replied. The reporter asked if he had visited Kano. He added he had resigned from the magazine and now he is free. He no longer have to write things he didnt want to write, and free to write anything he liked instead. He asked Kano brother. "One day, let me write the story about you guys again." A surprised Kano brother looked up at him. The reporter added "The titled shall be named [The incident Aftermath]. No matter 10 years or 20years on after the incident. I wish to write about people who never gave up hope. People who continued to work hard and live on." With that he started to leave. Kano brother stood up and said hesitantly" No matter what happen, human would always lived on right?" The reporter turned around and replied him yes affirmatively that people would always continue to live on.

At Jun's house, Ugly girl arrived and was still as cold as ever with a "it has been a while" greeting. Kano had invited ugly cow over to help stir Jun's memories (since cow had known Jun since childhood). Ugly cow was surprised (and sad)that Jun does not recognise her at all. Kano explained that Junya could not rem much after the accident, and she tried to talk to him everyday, hoping to stir up something. However, they had taken too few pictures together, so she had hope cow would help remind Jun many of his happy memories.

Ugly cow showed jun pictures of their childhood pictures. She was happily immense in her recollections and touched Jun's hands. He flinched and moved away from Ugly cow. Kano came in and asked what happened sensing Jun's appeared fear of ugly girl. Ugly girl was sad when she saw Jun crouching nearer to Kano not wanting to look at her. As ugly girl kept the album, she explained to Kano that she had known Jun since she was 5yrs old and thought she would not lose to her and Kio, but its meaningless now. "You and Jun have a future, how i envy you."Ugly cow lamented. As she stepped out, she turned around for one final look, knowing all is lost.

Meanwhile at Subaru place, Subaru asked Kio "you DO love Jun dont you? Which is why you would want to resort doing things to snatch him back."

At the bar, bar guy asked after Jun. Kano said he still couldnt talk. The bar guy expressed it was tough but Kano said it was not, and that when she knew Jun would be saved in the hospital, she was overjoyed. because she would feel happiness just begin with Jun. When she checked her phone video on Jun, she was shocked to see him not in bed, so she rushed home, only to see him playing an old song on his piano.

The next day, she brought Jun to the park and tried to make him smiled. He finally did, much to her joy. Her brother spotted her and turned back to the church instead. He knelt down and prayed. He explained to the priest his sister had had her wedding here few days back. "In the past, I had prayed many times for her (Kano) happiness but I was never able to do so wholeheartedly. There was always a small inner voice stopping me. However now, I was truly able to let go and wholeheartedly praying for her happiness and joy. I am praying wholeheartedly." The brother said tearfully.

In the park, Jun spotted a red balloon. Kano asked if he wanted one. He stared on without a word. Kano asked if it reminded him of Kioyoka? Jun started to talk and call Kio's name! Back at home, Jun automatically called out for Kio and went to the master room, expecting to see her lying there. However Kano sadly explained Kio is no longer there.

In the morning when making breakfast, Jun asked for Kio. Kano froze and turned to stare at him, who walked away. She finally made the call to Subaru, asking him to do her a favor. "The happiest time that Jun had..... I wish for Jun to be happy."

The next day, Subaru asked Kio if she was ready and they both headed out. Kano on the other hand prepared a big bouquet of lilies (that kio liked) and handed it to Jun, who was sitting quietly on the sofa. She looked at him and unable to hold back her tears further, she rushed out without a word when Jun looked on questioningly. Jun stared at the flowers and turned around when he heard the door opened. Kio walked in smilingly. He stood up and gave her the flowers with a wide smile. Meanwhile, a very sad Kano walked on alone to the church. She stared at the piano seat, with tears in her eyes, thinking she had lost him.

Back at home, a gust of wind blew and a song sheet fell off the stack and onto the floor. Kio picked it up and placed it on the piano. Jun looked at it and headed to the piano and sat down. He started to play hesitantly, note by note. As the notes seemed to gain his recognition, he started to play the song he had composed smoothly. Kano meanwhile knelt down and prayed in the church.

Jun started to play the song he had written previously for Kano more and more confidently. Halfway through, he heard Kano's voice "Oh, this is the song Junya had written for me" He paused and remembered the sad parting look on Kano's face. Kio called out to him. Jun remembered Kano! He grabbed his jacket, and started to run, As he ran, while all the bits and pieces of time spent with Kano came flooding back to him. All the happy, sad, supporting, comforting moments flashed through his head. He rem his old promise to her that he would never let go of her hands, and he will be the one to keep them warm. As Jun dashed into the church, fully expecting to find her there, he only saw an empty church instead.

As Jun dejectedly walked out of the church, he found a lonely Kano sitting all by herself in the garden outside. He called out to her. Kano stood up in surprise, not expecting to see him there. Jun rushed forward and hugged her tightly. A relieved Kano knew then that she had her Jun back. As they stood there hugging each other, Kano thought to herself "Brother, what do u think think love is? Actuallyy Love has no past or future. It's a sort of brimming (love)emotion that fills the heart, that connect every present moment together. It's just like that. So I am alright. Please do not worry. We are alright now." As Subaru handed Kio a red ballon and hugged her shoulder, Kano was heard saying "If you observe carefully, love is all around". Meanwhile, ugly girl took over the Jun's piano role in the church.

Kano's brother while workin, spotted it was snowing lightly that Xmas night. He stared wistfully at the falling flakes. Kano was heard saying "I am still praying, that brother and all of us, we could all find our own happiness."

In final scene, Kano happily walked on with Jun, admiring the xmas decorations and trees, finally putting her past behind,
