BBF OST 2: Download

If you havent heard of F4, you must be living in an alternate universe:)

After the craze has swept through Taiwan (Meteor Garden ) and Japan (Hana yori Dango ), the popular manga turned drama is has created major attention in Korea with the Korean version of "Boys before Flower" - F4 drama.

The Korean version slightly differ from the original with change of name, and certain elements, naturally to fit into the Seoul context. Most importantly of all, the Korean version stay true to the manga plot as much as possible which is great for manga fans!

The main essence doesnt change. Comparing all the F4 cast for the 3 countries, I must say Taiwan has the best cast selection (visual appeal) esp for the Lead actor Domyoji, while Korea's overall cast has the cutest and most fitting Hanazawa Rui - acted by Kim Hyun Joong (singer from pop group SS501, one of the hottest current band in Korea).

Hyun Joong is such an eye candy..... and I much prefer his version of the more laid back but natural version of Rui, unlike the Taiwan and Japan version that look halfdead....I dont normally think much of guys with sissy girl haircut and dyed in a light shade but well, Hyun Joong certainly pulled it off, while maintaining his boyish charm........ :) (PS: the picture doesnt does him much justice. Watch the video and he looks much better there!)

Mei Chan Butler Ep1 Review

I just finished watching belatedly the first episode release. I didnt hold much expectation for this, except that the only draw for me is Hiro acting in it...... Damn his captivating smile:)

Anycase, I am slightly and plesantly surprised by the first ep. While the first 5 mins was the usual boring start like a typical manga adapted drama, yet as the show progress, I actually did enjoy it a little, mainly because Hiro as Rihito was pretty good. Damn I wish I have a butler as that!!! I digress.

I guess it got a little interesting with Lucia being a potential mad crazy woman. Otherwise the school bullying etc is a typical manga plot, with all the twinkles and cute-manga effect.

I will watch on to see how the story develop. If it gets too boring, I definitely will tell u too

Mei Chan Butler Episode 1 Summary

Mei's parents owned an udon store in some remote country side. They were poor but lived happily. One day, Mei's parents died in an accident and a butler Shibata Rihito (Hiro) appeared informing her of her true heritage. Apparently her father was born from a super wealthy family but he relinquished his rights to the heritage when he ran away to marry Mei's mum. So techincally, Mei is the next heiress in line. Rihito told Mei she have to leave as she will become a "target" but she refused to leave... that is until her home/store got blown up!

At her friend's Natsumi's house, Mei learnt the truth about her father's birthright, and that her best friend Shibata Kento is actually Rihito's younger brother!!!! Apparently, Rihito is an all rounder and a superior S grade butler serving Mei's grandfather.. Mei's grandfather had sent Rihito to pick up Mei to a new boarding school.

Rihito become Mei's butler and Mei relunctuntly went to her new expensive all girl school - St Lucia. The school has a weird rule that every girl must have her personal butler. Mei was immediately ostractised by all the girls for looking poor. They predicted she will leave within 2 weeks upon arrival.

Mei was unused to all the fuss and ridiculous nature of getting butler to do everything. She was also assigned to the lowest/ crappest lodging as her accomodation (there are 3 level of boarding, next level is Lunar and higher level is Sun). To her horror, her room is also connected to Rihito's butler room.

In school, Mei chanced by a greenhouse and a girl in wheelchair Lucia. Lucia is supposed to be "THE Representative" of the school known as Miss St Lucia being an all rounder. However, she is not as simple nor nice as she appeared.

The girls challenged Mei to a cooking competition. Rihito helped to train Mei for a week. However on the actual day, the girls plot to destroy Mei's chance of winning by swopping her ingredients with rotting stuff. However Mei undetered and encouraged by Rihito cook her speciality Udon. The judges initially ignored the dish until Lucia make a move to taste it. The rest followed. However the judges deemed the food not fit for consumption and rejected it.

Discouraged, Mei decided to pack and leave at night. She was stopped by her lady teacher who asked her if she is running away and that good fortune never befalls on people who run away. Mei also received a call from her grandfather, stating that since she choose to quit, he would take back Mei's father's remain with him to be buried at their own estate. Mei asked about her mum;s remain but the grandfather said he wants nothing to do with the woman who stole his son. Mei begged to keep the parents remains together... in condition she will be a befitting heiress/ lady.

Meanwhile, as Kento searches around desperately for Mei, Rihito found Mei sitting alone in the rain at her old house. Mei looked at her family photo and said "Didnt you say bad things will not happen to family that smile all the time? Why did you have to die and leave me alone?" Rihito consoled Mei that no matter what happen, he will be there for Mei. Mei finally cried out aloud that night hugging her family picture as kento looked on from afar.

Next morning, Mei awoke with new resolve. She will stay to fight and strive to be an approperiate lady. Rihito smiled at her new strength and request to rid her old spec look for contacts.

In class, Mei was shock to find Kento there! Apparently, Kento had enrolled to be a butler in training ( to be near Mei!).

Triangle Episode 2 Summary

Triangle. It's good. Not as Riveting as I hope but still gripping, not to mention the strong cast is a good reason to think the show wont be too bad. For those interested and cannot wait for the English sub, a brief summary of episode 2 as below.

Triangle 2 summary
The episode went on to further explain the "real" identity of the girl Sachi who is "back from the death". Apparently the real Sachie did die, and the one who attended the elementary class reunion is an adopted child. The deceased mother was so overwhelmed by the death of her daughter that she adopted a girl of similar age and name, to replace her daughter. However the father did not accept the situation and he left.

Goda revealed he knew the "truth" back in France and Sachi was pissed. Goya's colleague Shun suspected him as the killer of Sachie 25 years ago given his suspicious interest and coincidental appearance in all the series of events.

Goda discovered one of his classmate had written a manuscript on the murder which claim to uncover some shocking truth about it, but he had handed the manuscript to another classmate Horigome(the first witness to the crime) to locate a publisher for it. Goda looked up Horigome asking to see the manuscript but was rejected. Later Horigome claimed his office was robbed of cash and the script.

Goda was suspected by his peers to be the "robber" but was later cleared of suspicions. It was a fake robbery. A rich guy Shimano Takaya appeared at Sachi's exhibition and bought an art piece at high price on the pretext of discovering new young talent. He wanted to meet Sachi and her friend over lunch but she did not appear.

At home, Sachi was injured by her adoptive mother who lapsed into hysterial whenever she rem that her real daughter had died. receiving a call from Sachie's classmate enquiring about the letter, the mum thrashed the house. In the search of the "last letter to the older me" written by her daughter before her death, Sachie's mum had a relapse, thus missing the appointment. Shimano assumed it was Goda who had called the mum.

Later we see Shimano inviting Goda and Shun to his office, asking them to leave Sachi alone to enjoy her current happiness. He explained Sachi's orphan past but did not elaborate his connection except that he is a talent scout and would not want Sachi's talent to be hindered by all these investigations.

By chance, Sachi discovered the "letter" written by the deceased Sachie. Her eyes widened as she read the content. She received an annoymous call to meet with the letter. As she made her way, she was spotted by Goda who followed her. Goda spotted a guy walking towards Sachi with a knife wanting to stab her, but Goda rushed forward in time to protect Sachi and got stabbed instead.....

At the end of the show, we see a young Goda in class writing his own letter, asking the older him to help Sachie no matter what happen.

Akai Ito Episode 05 Summary

Watch video without subs

The story begins with a time rewind back to 6 years ago.

Young Nishino declined to play softball with his friends so that he can head home early as his mum has promised to make hamburger for him. However when he arrived home, only a quiet messy apartment awaits him. As he look around, he found his mum in a room, digging into a pillow looking for something. He rushed to his mum asking what happened but his mum replied nothing was wrong. Just then the door bell rang and his mum rushed to open it. Young Nishino witness the "drug peddler" guy passing his mum some drugs. As the mum looked around desperately for "aid device", she told a surprised Nishino to go out and play. Meanwhile, Nishino saw a young girl who had been trailing her father to his house. She ran away after spotting Nishino.

(Typed words: You cannot express your real feeling with words. I cannot convey my important thoughts. Supposing, both people can feel the inner feelings of the other side...)

The scene goes back to the rooftop where Mei was trying to stop Sara from jumping but failed.

Back to Nishino, his mum apologised for having him called back halfway from his excursion. Nishino ignored his mum's question if he wanted a drink and straight to the point demanding to know "How did you end up in an accident at the bus stop when you should be staying in the hospital at the time? Don't tell me you are trying to slip away again?" Sensing no reply from her, Nishino agitatedly asked "What exactly are you thinking?! Didnt you come here to rid your drug addiction?!!" At that moment, he was interrupted by the doctor in care.

Speaking to Nishino alone, the doctor asked if Nishino felt his mum had a weak will? Adding on, the doctor shared that addiction to drugs is a disease, inhibiting one from doing what one wishes to do, and that before drugs, there is no strong person.
Saying that, the doctor whipped out a brochere, sharing that the new rehab facility location may do Nishino's mum some good even though it may be abit far.

As Nishino made his way home, he encountered Mei's mum at the shrine by chance. She enquired wasnt Nishino supposed to be on excursion trip? Nishino explained his mother had an accident and so he returned early. After assuring her it was nothing serious, Nishino prepared to part ways. Just as he started to leave, Mei's mum called and stop him, asking to have a quick word with him.

Mei's mum outright asked Nishino if he could stop seeing (being friends with) Mei. A surprised Nishino asked why and she explained she actually do know his mum. She explained that her childhood friend was actually also Nishino's mum's friend. Even though her childhood friend had died, but the deceased used to mention (stories of) Nishino's mum alot to Mei's mum. To Nishino's shock, Mei's mum stated that even though Nishino's mum is in hospital now, but she has yet to rid her drug addiction right? A stunned Nishino could only agree. "I'm definitely not saying that you are no good, but as a mother, I am naturally worried for Mei. If you truly care about Mei, please leave Mei." At that, she left Nishino standing alone in shock.

At the hospital, after Sara's parent arrived, Mei's parents also arrive shortly. Mei kept apologising to her parents. Her father told her apologies is useless and impatiently kept asking what exactly had happened resulting in such an event before his wife told him off that it wasnt the time to press Mei.

Back in school, some student asked Sensei (the teacher) what had happened to Sara? Sensei explained that Sara met an accident and is in hospital and unable to come to school for some time. Another girl asked if it was true that Sara had jumped off from the hotel, ripples of shock went round the classroom. Mei's friend kept quiet. Sensei did not elaborate but told the class to quieten down and said to wait for Sara to recover. At that, the bell rang and class dismissed.

Alone to themselves in the classroom, one of the guys asked the 2 girls if they had contacted Mei. Both replied they had sent sms to Mei but... (no reply). The guy said "I wonder why had things turn out this way." The other guy approached Taka and asked him why did he follow Mei that day, adding that if Taka had not done such unnecessary things, such an incident would not have happened! Taka kept quiet to the accusation. The guy friend continued his ranting and moved on to critising Mei, saying that why did she had to insist on completing the plan she made with Nishino... Hearing that, an enraged Taka got up and bashed his friend for what he said about Mei. Both guys started fighting with Taka demanding that guy to repeat what he say again, while the friend insisted there was nothign wrong with what he had said!

Seeing the ridiculous fight, Mia stormed up to the guy friend and slapped him across the face! She yelled at the guy asking whom do he think is suffering the most now? "Mei must be reproaching herself extremely now! No one would wish for a thing as such to happen around oneself. Mei is the one who is hurting the most right now!! Can't you even understand this point?" Hearing that, everyone in the class looked even more depressed.

Back at Mei's home, Mei continued not to eat. To the worried parents, mei's sister consoled them saying that Mei will be fine. After the sister had retired to her room, Mei's father self reproach that he is heartless, saying that upon reaching home, even Haruna would ask if Mei was alright, while he on the hand only was concerned at finding out how such a thing could happen. Mei's mum was quick to say that things were too unexpected and that he shouldnt think too much. Mei's father emotionally retorted "No its not! It's not a problem of thinking too much! if it wasnt Mei but had been Haruna instead......" "Please STOP!" Mei's mum interrupted her husband. "Mei and Haruna are the same. They are BOTH our Children and no difference..." In her room alone, Mei looked at the pictures taken with Sara and wept silent tears.

In the hospital, Nishino asked his mum pointblank if he knew Mei's mum, whom he explained was the mother of his classmate, adding that Mei's mum had said she knew his mum. Nishino's mum smilingly thought for a min and wondered who it was before getting back to her artwork. "A friend of yours is her childhood friend" Nishino shared. His mum froze at hearing that, before pretending that she has no idea and tried to change topic. Nishino refused to relent and told her that he had been told not to go near her daughter, and normally, people would not say such a thing. Nishino grabbed his mum and tried to shake her into telling the truth. She stopped him at not raising his voice before smashing the vase by the side.

At the shrine, Mami visited the shrine guy and cooked dinner. the shrine guy said he rem Nishino bringing an unknown girl back for the first time and he had mistook her to be Nishino's girlfriend. The girl muttered "she wished it was true" before explaining how she met Nishino for the first time when she trailed her father who skipped work to head to Nishino's house 6 years ago. She shared he had passed away and she wished she could understand how could one person be so addicted to drugs. a returning Nishino overheard the conversation but greeted the two pretending he did not hear a thing.

At home, Mei wanted to sms Nishino asking about his mum and if he had heard about Sara's incident but stopped herself from sending. Her sister informed her a guy had come to see her. Thinking it was Nishino, Mei discovered it was only Taka-chan.

Taka brought news that Sara had regained consciousness and is continuing her recovery at the hospital for a while before she can return to school. Mei waa relieved. Taka apologised to Mei for his actions, and that things would not have reach this stage if he had not done what he did. Mei silently shook her head to disgree. Taka continued "That.... I know it takes alot of courage, but taking leave from school will not change anything. At this rate, it will be even harder for you to return to school. And if Also, when Sara return to school and found Mei not around, perhaps, it will be equally difficult for Sara to go back to school. So please, return to school wont you? Go to school and wait for Sara there." Mei agreed and thanked him.

Before heading home, the girl asked Nishino about his mum's condition and if he will moved away to send his mum to the other rehab. She asked if Nishino has a girl he like as it is written all over his face. She went on blabbling that she had lied to her own classmates about teh cause of her father;s death as she thinks no one can understand as everyone else has important family, and people like them would not understand the thoughts of people like us. Learning the truth for people like them would only trouble them. Nishino did not agree or disagree but said he will send her home.

While walking on the streets with Taka, Taka told Mei she must and can confide any troubles to him, and not to shoulder it alone. At that point, she spotted Nishino sending the girl back. Taka asked shouldnt they call out to him but Mei declined, stating that the girl is Nishino childhood friend and that she had seen her before during the cultural festival back then. Taka wondered aloud why Nishino hasnt been to school of late either. Mei expressed surprise at the new information. Taka added that Nishino has not gone back to school ever since the trip.

The next day, Mei mustered courage and decided to go to school. She spotted Taka waiting for her at the school entrance to add courage to her. Mei smiled at his gesture. As they walked further, they were spotted by the rest of the group who delightfully welcomed her back. Yet they were spotted by another 2 classmate who looked on in disdain thinking the group are idiots as they felt people like Mei are the worst kind. At the corridor, the friend who had criticised Taka before bowed to apologize for his previous behavior and Taka accepted. At the same time, the 2 girls were spreading rumours about Mei in the classroom, sharing that Sara had jumped because Mei had betrayed her trust and lied to Sara, going out with Taka even though she knew Sara's liking for him.

Before entering the classroom, Mei asked Mia about Nishino but gained no further information. Mia wondered aloud what had happened?

At the hospital, the doctor asked Nishino and his mum about their views on relocating. The mum declined as she is adapted to the current hospital and the doctor. As the doctor went on, the mum excused herself that she was tired and took leave. The doctor went on to reprimand her and finally yelled at her "Being pampered by Nishino, being spoilt by people around you,is the main reason why you are escaping the very problem before you!!!" Nishino looked on in surprise. The doctor went on "No matter how many years you have refused to change your lifestyle, and not associating with the drug peddler, I am a doctor, a doctor with responsibility to cure a patient, But I do not view a person who does not want to cure herself as a patient!! If one does not attemp to change one's lifestyle, it will be the same end result no matter where one goes. This will be ALL your own decision." Nishino's mum's angry tears fell as she listened to those words but she turned away and walked off without a word. Nishino looked on helplessly.

Nishino went to the club to approach the drug peddler, bumping into his classmate. Nishino said he is moving with his mum and want him not to look for her. The drug peddler told Nishino that he got it all wrong. "All wrong?" Nishino asked incredulously. The drug peddler asked if Nishino know why his mum could never tear herself away from the drugs? "Everything has a reason, even so for his mum's start of drug consumption." The man said. "What do you mean by that?" Nishino asked.

"For example if you had caused the death of someone because of own reasons, it is not the person who died that will experience any change, it is the people who lived on who will be unable to resume life back to normal. That is what your mother said. That is when back in the past, when her best friend committed sucide. That wreaking feeling of guilt, that prevents one to live on, she wanted to depend on the drugs to forget the guilt. Somethings are better when forgotten, someone who had experience such immense pain would not be able to overcome their drug addiction easily, so considering your mother's case, it may already have been very good." the drug guy told nishino. After leaving the night club, Nishino mind was bombarded by everything that he had learnt so far.

That night, Nishino called Mei. Mei asked if he was alright and he said he was fine. Mei said it has been a while and continued to talk about the trip being fun etc... Nishino basically repeated yes to everything Mei said. At one junction, Nishino spotted Mei and called out to her "Koko" (Meaning: Here!!). They started chatting and mei said she would like to spend some time in the holidays together. A distracted Nishino agreed. Mei went on to ask after Nishino's mum. Nishino told Mei his mum is in hospital.... he wanted to tell her the truth but at the last minute, change his mind and refrained from spilling the drug addiction bit, adding the mum was fine. Just as Mei was about to bring up the topic of Sara, Nishino interrupted and finally he said that he would need to spend time with his mum during the summer holidays and so he would not be able to contact Mei much. Mei was disappointed but said ok. As he was leaving, Mei turned and called him, asking if she can believe, whether she can believe in him. Nishino replied with a nod affirmatively. Mei smiled.

(Typed words: (previously)You cannot express your real feeling with words. I cannot convey my important thoughts. Supposing, both people can feel the inner feelings of the other side... (last line) will fate stand on our side?)

Akai Ito 06 Summary:
http://innerkaleidoscope.blogspot.com/2009/02/akai-ito-06-review.html

After thoughts

Ok... something is fishy about Mei's birth... please please please dont' tell me she is Nishino's twin sister or something.... I found it strange that Mei's classmate can know so much about Sara'a incident. How would they know that Sara like Taka and she confided in Mei? No one would know that since Sara's confession was done in the room between the 2 of them and Mei doesnt look like the sort to blab.... If Mei doesnt even know Sara like Taka until she was told, so how does the rest know the details so well considering Sara is in hospital? Plus back then, it was only Mei who extend a hand of friendship to Sara, the rest just ignore her....All those gossipmongers....
Also found Nishino childhood friend annoying. She is such a pessimist trying to sway Nishino into thinking negatively as she does. Maybe she is just jealous and wants to cling on to Nishino for herself since she is now all alone.... In the trailer, we see Sara goes back to school! But she doesnt seem to recognise Mei?! Oh dear...

Note:
I wont be able to do a summary update for Episode 6 after its screening as I will be away to Niseko on a skii trip for a week. If the video english sub is not out by the time I get back, I will do both episode 6 and 7 updates together in first week of Feb.

J-Music: New release by Yui Aragaki - Akai Ito

Here's a new CD release by Yui Aragaki , titled "Akai Ito" (Japanese: 赤い糸 ).
I only knew her as an actress and never a singer. I think there are some rooms for improvement but still, i like track 2 (つないだ手 - Tsunaida Te).

The album is generally average by my standard and not something I go wow about. There was a track that is naked voice which I honestly wasnt too impressed. It sounded like someone is singing in the bathroom while having a shower...U can check it out yourself and see if u think likewise. The instrumental piece on the other hand is a nice relaxing piano piece while keeping for those nice eve stroll in the park or just chilling out.

New Drama: Triangle (J)

Ok, if you have enough of love stories and looking for a change in taste in drama plot, Fuji Tv delivers a new suspense mystery drama - "Triangle" (トライアングル), now airing every Tuesday in Japan starting from 6th Jan.

I think I may like this as it consists of a good lead casts (relationship diagram) who had been good in other works, and plus, I just love mysteries plot created by Japanese script writer. I hope this one doesnt disappoint.

on a novel by Kiyomi Niitsu, this suspense series starts with the abduction and murder of a 10-year-old girl in 1984. Carrying the burden of that trauma, he later goes on in life to become a doctor in place of his dead older brother. Akai Ito Episode 4 Summary

Watch video.

The episode starts with time rewind back to a 2nd year Sara, at how she lost her mobile phone outside Riku Takashi's ramen store. She was running away from her taunters from the same school. She tripped over the signboard and dropped her mobile.

At the same time, the scene goes back to the shopping mall where Mei was helping her crush to buy the birthday present for her sister. Mei witness Sara being chased and eventually saw she was being bullied in the toilet cubicle, where Sara was being drenched wet by a pail of water thrown in by the bullies. The bullies belived that Sara was dressing weirdly to attract attention. To help Sara, Mei scared the bullies away by pretending to yell for someone to call the cops. When the bullies left, Mei went in to check on Sara, asking if she was ok and that its safe for her to come out of the cubicle now.. Sensing no reply, Mei told Sara that it is better to leave before the group returns, and that there is nothing wrong to dress in something that one really likes, so she should just ignore the rest who are prob just jealous of her. Sayng that, Mei left. That was how Sara and Mei "met" for the first time and their paths crossed.

Back to present moment where they are now in 3rd year. Mei was walking with Sara discussing about the upcoming excursion trip and what she planned to wear on the free day. Mei other 2 gfs appeared teasing that only Sara can wear those cosplay. We see Nishino walking at a distance from Mei and the girls, him staring at Mei...

Nishino's friend saw Nishino while walking to school, and called out to him. After seeing Nishino's stony face, his friend commented in surprise.... "Atsushi, my your face looked awful" Nishino replied with a straight face "Is that so."
His friend pointed at Nishino and said "Ahh.. That's a little SCARY (expression)". Nishino marched on and replied again "Is that so." leaving his fren speechless! (I was laughing quite a bit here)

At the locker area where they are swopping their outdoor shoes to the indoor ones, Nishino looked and called out to Mei. Facing her, Nishino could only muster to say good morning to Mei, and just as he summed up his courage further to ask Mei about the upcoming excursion, Nishino was interrupted by his friend who was asking everyone which part of the body do they shower first.

As they group advanced to the corridor, Nishino once again tried to ask Mei.... " Mei, If it is possible...." before he was once again interrupted by Mia coming to join them, and dragged Mei away. Nishino was left standing and scratching his head in frustration at the constant interruptions, where his friend concluded that Nishino would washed his head first, stating how strange... Nishino went "huh?!" (he is soooo cute!!)

In class, the drug peddler girl Miyabi came in late and was asked to have a short talk by the teacher. Hence the class had some free time to freely discuss about the trip. The ususal group started chatting non stop about the trip as Nishino looked at Mei forlornly with his long suppressed question. Finally unable to contain himself, Nishino surprised the whole group when he stood up suddenly and said "Mei! If its possible, shall we be alone together (for the trip during the free day)" A surprised Mei went "Huh!?" Nishino continued bashfully " On this matter, please consider about it." before excusing himself out of the class leaving Mei completely stunned! Outside the class, Nishino heaved a huge sigh of relief from his "confession" before walking away with a smile....

After class, Mia was still teasing Mei and asking her for her decision, also stating that Nishino is not a bad choice. The other girl chiped in saying that Nishino is quite manly as well, and they went on to say isnt it great to be "asked out" so directly and openly. Mia re-enact the scene of Nishino asking Mei out and they laughingly called it a "If you like" (dating) tactic.

As the girls left, they spotted Nishino waiting alone. The girls smiled and Mia pushed Mei towards Nishino before the group ran off happily....

On the other hand, the guys were also discussing about Nishino's brave and open move, saying how unexpected it was. Apparently, one of the guys had wanted to ask Yuri out as well but was too shy, and instead decided to conceal it saying something else. The girls arrived to join the guys and Mia excitedly shared that Nishino is launching his "surprise attack" on Mei outside the locker entrance. While the rest of the guys exclaimed over the news, Riku had a forced smile and didnt say a word. Someone teased Riku that Nishino had "striked" first but the girls started to taunt the guys instead.

Back to Nishino and Mei, they both went browsing for travel books together to plan for their "free day" trip together. They spend the rest of the day together discussing about places to go and food to eat and Mei exclaimed over this stall which the sister had claimed to be delicious. Nishino shared that it would be best eated when served piping hot but he had a "cat's tongue" - meaning he is the sort that is afriad of burning his tongue. Mei piped in that she is likewise the same, before excitedly asking for a contest between them to see who would win in munching down the hot meat bun! The afternoon continued with them discussing the trip.

On way home, they bumped into Miyabi and the man which is Nishino's mum's friend. He asked Nishino about his mum, to which Nishino replied stonily that "It's none of your business."

At home, Mei bumped into her mum returning. After he introduced himself, Mei's mum paused and asked Nishino where he is living. He explained his mum is hospitalised and he is living with the shrine guy. Mei's mum continued to ask for Nishino's mum's name and lied that she had thought it was her friend but turned out not to be. However, mei's mum had a strange look. During dinner, Mei's sister was teasing Mei about having a boyfriend to their dad, but her mum interrupted the conversation to start dinner.

During the trip, Sara and Mei had a heart to heart talk. Mei said she was impressed by Sara's skill in the UFO's machine (catching toys) while Sara shared that she had always been alone. So she spent all he time after school to play the machines by herself. It was only after she met Mei that she had friends for the first time and she enjoyed herself. Mei on the otherhand shared that she too had learnt something from Sara, on sending sms of today's event to own mobile for the her tomorrow. The two got interrupted by the other girls.

Back in the room, Nishino received a call that his mum had injured herself in the hospital but the shrine guy would not say more till Nishino return. So Nishino went to look for Mei, and apologised that he had to cancel their free day trip plans as he need to return back to see his mum. Instead, Nishino brought forward some of plans to that night and both snucked out of the hostel to spend some time alone.

That night, while strolling in the park, Nishino asked mei if he could share the story of "his first love." , before adding it was during his childhood times. Mei excitedly said that she wanted to hear about it.

"I met her on the day of my birthday. My mum hardly celebrate mt birthday and she suddenly propose to have one, so I was extremely happy. Even though I had fever that morning, I was still out and about cycling. On the streets, I knocked over a girl who had a big box with her. The cake box had dropped to the floor. It was also herbirthday. I told her - It was my birthday too! And she said to me - It's fantastic! This is the first time I met someone with the same birthday as me! Such a miracle! And she went on to add - Because this is a birthday that only occurs once every 4 years. Then the girl proceed to wrap a piece of the chocolate from the cake, and handed it to me in a ribboned bag as a present, and said Happy Birthday to me. At that moment, I had felt that she was such a kind girl, and my heart started to warm. Come to think of it, I prob started to like chocs from that moment on. " As Nishino turned and looked at a quiet Mei, he added smilingly" I too am born on 1992, 29th Feb."

Mei finally understood. "So we had met way before." She said to Nishino.

"The next birthday after the first meeting was my 12th birthday. In my heart, I was wishing for the both of us, strongly believing that we will meet again. Till this present moment, I still like the girl alot, and hoped that we could spend our 16th birthday together. Mei, do you believe in destiny?" Nishino asked Mei gently. "I believe" Mei replied unhesitantly. At that, Nishino bent over and shyly kissed Mei on her lips! After the peck, Mei stretched out her arm to hold his hand...

Back in the room, Mei shared what happened to Sara. At the same time, she learned about Sara's crush in Riku. Sara said it has to be a secret as she might get rejected. mei smiled and encouraged her, cheering her on.

The next day which is free activities day, Mei decided to continue ahead with what she had originally planned with Nishino, to the glass place where she can paint on the glass pieces. On the train, she was shocked to see Riku suddenly boarding the train the last min to join her. Riku said he wanted to spend the day with Mei, as he was worried for her to be alone. Unfortunately the 2 of them were spotted by Sara who saw them through the glass display. Sara called Mei to ask what she was doing. Knowing that Sara liked Riku, Mei uncomfortably said she was at the glass place not volunteering anymore info. However, Sara pressed on, asking if she was alone. Not wanting Sara to misunderstand, Mei lied that she was alone, not knowing she had been spotted.

Before returning, Mei told Riku that it is better that they do not return together. Riku finally expressed the truth that he liked her but he is willing to give up now since he know Mei already like Nishino, and that he get to spend a day with her.

Back at the lobby, Sara confronted Mei about her "lie" and that she is prob laughing at Sara in her heart and she must be happy now. Mei tried to explain it was a misunderstanding, but Sara cut her off. Rather than lying, Sara told Mei she would have prefer the truth which would be less hurting. At this moment, Riku walked in wondering what happened. Sara unable to look at Riku took off running, with Mei chasing after her wanting to explain.

Sara ran to the rooftop and Mei continued to run after her. "Mei, I had liked you. However Mei u have completely wiped me off from your heart." Mei tried to explain that it isnt so but Agitated Sara refused to listen. "Let me erase myself before your sight instead." With that, Sara leaped off from the roof. Mei screamed!

Afterthoughts

I thought Nishino is so adorable and he got his wish come true! He finally met Mei again! I wonder what secrets Mei's mum have in store since she obviously know Nishino's mum but choose to pretend twice now. MAybe she will stop Mei from being with Nishino later due to his mum's drug use.

I wish Sara didnt have to jump! It's so sad... death isnt a solution. Then again, I guess it must have been tough for her too to think she got betrayed by Mei. This is the time where honesty is the best policy. Mei should have been honest that Riku was with her and pass the phone to him or something. By hiding his presence, it was definitely more suspicious. Then again, I suppose most people in Mei's shoes would have "tried to conceal" Riku's presence huh....

Suffering from "Withdrawal"

The past week has been miserable. Most of my fav manga, TV drama and anime are on "one week holiday"...no screening means no entertainment.... my world is bleak and aimless.....

That aside....I am so fed up with crunchyroll....now that they have taken off (thanks to supporters like us), they are now turning their back on us with their dominance of internet Japanese anime.

My fav "Skip Beat" and "Naruto Shippuden" are no longer being free-sub on the internet since Crunchyroll has obtained the sole right to broadcast it online. Even if I want to pay for the damn "special" membership, I still wont be able to watch it because "It is unavailable in my region", essentially only allowing people in america to watch it... How unfair!!!! So what's the point of having internet access if geographical restrictions still exists like PHYSICAL TV?

Now I can only rave and rant in my private domain, moping and mourning over the loss of my weekly anime entertainment..................
