Aatashinchi Episode 2 Review

Just finish watching episode 2. Not bad, it's getting more interesting than I had expected. This episode mainly focus on the relationship between the 2nd and 3rd son - Dakeru and Shou, as well as how Chisato is slowly breaking through to them.

Atashinchi no Danshi Ep02 Summary

The story starts with Chisato storming off in a fit while Shou was causally asking her why was she running off. Chisato explained she is fed up with them not keeping their word and she wont get the inheritance when Shou reminded her about the money. Shou laughed and told her it's a lie about the inheritance being donated away for charity. Chisato said it has nothing to do with her and said her goodbye, leaving Shou to smile alone to himself.

Meanwhile, Dakeru was eating outside by himself, commenting how much more delicious his food is eating alone. He turned around seeing Chisato and said he expected she had heard everything. As Chisato went up to him, Dakeru added that Satoru is now down with a cold thanks to her aircon blasting/ freeze, and isnt she such a heartless woman to abandon Satoru now by leaving. "Then again, he prob would recover faster while u are gone. Bye bye ma ma!" Dakeru cheekily added. Chisato was so angry and speechless that she storm off without a word. Instead, Chisato ended up at her friend- Yutaka's bookstore place to shower to cool her head.
However, Shinzo's secretary Shuoji came to pick her up instead.

On the way, Chisato was complaining about all the "sons" and that Shou was uttering rubbish about the inheritance. However to Chisato surprise, the secretary actually confirmed that indeed the inheritance being donated away was indeed a lie. Before she knew it, Shuoji brought her to Shinzo's company and announced that Shinzo had decided Chisato would be the next proxy director of the company. The rest of us objected but after the secretary's speech and "bearing responsibility", it was passed through.

Back at home, the lawyer appeared and showed her the "scroll" contract that being the proxy was part of the doc she had signed and agreed to...

In the main dining room, Shou appeared waiting for her and happily announced it was a lie wasnt it about the inheritance. Chisato showed him the "10 tasks " she had to fulfil as a mother, and one of them was having a meal together. Shou said he had a plan to materialise that obligation.

Meanwhile, Masaru after his photoshoot was informed there will be CM shot that required him to work with a female model. Masaru who has fear of woman asked to cancel the shot but was told it was impossible due to the "mafia" influence in the shot as well as the location venue.
On the otherhand, Dakeru saved his youngest brother Akira from being beaten further by the bullies.

Back at home, it was discovered that all the brothers had been glued to the chair. Shou appeared gleefully with Chisato being the mastermind. Satoru complained he was still a sick man, while Masaru and the rest also complained. Chisato quickly explained she will reveal how to unglue them after having a meal together.

Dakeru started to argue with Shou. Shou while placating and mocking Dakeru accidentally sat down on an empty seat and was glued down as well! With that the bickering started bewteen Dakeru and Shou. The bickering and shoving spread to the other guys and eventually Akira's face got shoved into a cake. Chisato witnessing everything got incensed and ordered everyone to get out! With that, all the guys slowly retreated from the one by one. Only then Chisato rem her plan to eat together has failed....and confirmed aloud by the lawyer who suddenly appeared.

During a sauna together, the lawyer explained initially the oldest son fuu was supposed to be the heit but due to his unsuitable character, the 2 other sons Shou and DAkeru was appointed and gradually all the 6 failed. It was revealed that Shou and Dakeru were actually best of friends until 6 years ago when Shou left. Shou had been the best candidate showing potential until he left, Dakeru assumed Shou had left to give up the heir seat and felt betrayed...

Dakeru was let off from his former job and ended up with a new job at the male hostess club where Shou is working.

Chisato meanwhile was alone in the park mending her "tent" accomodation. She recalled her time with Shinzo where he invented a superglue where he commented if only that glue can mend the bridge between people and allow them to communicate. Because only by facing each other, will there be heart to heart chat... her thoughts were interrupted by a bunch of kids smashing at her tent taunting her. At this point Dakeru walked past and witness the attack. he came forth to ask those kids to stop and that a mop is meant for cleaning only. When the kids left and Dakeru knelt down to assured the "wanderer" inside the tent, the kid smacked him on his head with the mop injuring him! Despite being bloodied, Dakeru did not lose his temper and told the kids again that a mop is only for moping. At the same time, he told them to stop bullying Akira. Chisato behind the tent, witness and overhear everything realising there is another side to Dakeru..

When the kids ran off, Dakeru again assured the tent occupant (assuming it was an old man) that it is safe now. When he shook hand with Chisato, that "for an old man" having a smooth hand, he then commented that even he is often misunderstood with his own appearance, hence he was forced to appear strong/ bully as everyone had expected it out of him. After that, he cheerfully asked him to work hard and that tomorrow will be better and went off.

CHisato rushed back home to the castle. She was confronted by 6 moulds that required her to get the handprint from all the sons individually. She asked Akira but he said he would only if she is leaving. Chisato then thought of Satoru and try to cheerfully talk him into the handprint but to no avail..just then, they heard a wail and she rushed off. Satoru also rushed out. Apparently, Chisato had glued Masaru down to the floor and was screaming at Chisato not to come closer till he fainted.

Between the 3, Chisato was informed by Satoru that Masaru had a phobia for woman and if they come within 1 m radius, he would faint. He didnt care if his company mistook him to be gay, then he asked to be alone to think. Satoru said he would even if Masaru didnt ask and left.

At the night club, Dakeru approached a working Shou and his female client. Dakeru with his charm won over the client from Shou.

Meanwhile, Chisato was collecting information on each son from her friends. They revealed they knew the secret to Shou sudden departure 6 years ago.

As they left work together, the female client hinted for Dakeru to go to hotel with her. Dakeru spotted spotted Shou and excused himself while asking her to go ahead first. Instead, Dakeru was tracking Shou down and spotted Chisato who also appeared at the same spot. Apparently, Shou had gone to pick up his son!

Back at home, Shou explained he found out his gf was pregnant and that was why he left. He said while he wanted to say it was for education fee and child raising fee etc but its actually all for woman and one needs money to have a woman sticking around etc etc. CHisato said he was lying as he is even working day job in addition to his night job. Shou laughed and said she is fantastic to even know this.

Staring at the child, Chisato asked didnt Shou think about the child's feelings? To be placed whole day in the child care. For the kid of a single parent, it is a lonely life. Shou sighed and asked "Did you know what Shinzo said to me when he found out about the pregnancy? he asked me to abort it. Just that one sentence. For someone like u to marry that kind of man, has no right to talk family." Chisato stared at him silently. Then Shou turned to Dakeru and commented that now DAkeru should know why he had left and not he had given up. Dakeru stuck his tongue out. "Why would I backed out my seat for you?" Shou said before he left with his son.

At the Daikon guy's place, the Daikon guy was giving advice to Chisato, saying that experiences mould a person, and that everythign requires heart to heart talk. Even as family, if one does not say anything, how will anything be conveyed to the other person? It would be even more impossible for people not related by kinship.Using the Japanese character of "Trust" (shin), he explained that the character can be broken down and explained by 2 words, a "person" and "word". Hence people need to talk to each other to form any trust. hearing that, Chisato suddenly knew what she need to do.

At work place, Dakeru was knocked unconscious by a stranger and carried away. A colleague witnessed the attacker's vehicle. Chisato who arrived found Shou who explained that Dakreu had been taken away by a mafia group because Dakeru had messed with the boss's woman.

Chisato said she has to go rescue him but Shou said maybe Dakeru doesnt want that as he doesnt believe in anyone, but Chisato countered that perhaps Dakeru is hoping to trust someone. In the end, Shou left with Chisato to rescue Dakeru. She called a confused Satoru to pick up Shou's son. Satoru was surprised and confused at the request. Akira who was outside overheard everythung. Meanwhile, Dakeru was being bashed up.

In the cab, Chisato apologised to Shou for overstepping the line with what she said. She had gone ranting without knowing all the facts. Shou laughed saying it was ok and plus she did make sense. Chisato ended that Shou should patch back with Dakeru but Shou said it was impossible and Dakeru wont want that either. "Even so, we need him to get back first..."Shou then added.

Chisato and Shou sucessfully entered the building to rescue Dakeru but were found out by the Mafia boss. To prevent people from hearing them being shot, the boss brought them to the abandoned building which was Masaru;s model shot place.

Just when Chisato was going to be shot first, Dakeru interrupted saying that "Your woman has a sexy mole down her back." The boss turned the gun to Dakeru stating that he would not see that if she had not undress. At that moment, Shou commented "Yes indeed she has a sexy mole." The boss then pointed his gun at Shou instead. Just then, as he was about to shoot, they heard Masaru making a din above! With the distraction, Chisato and rest was able to trip the mafia boss and make their escape! The police also came to save them in the nick of time!

Chisato said her thanks to the 2 guys for sticking their neck out to save her (by provoking the boss about the mole thing). The guys of course acted cool and claimed they didnt know what she was talking about and walked off. Meanwhile, Shou wondered who had called the cops. At home, Akira was found asleep with the mobile phone.

While walking, Chisato asked the 2 guys to stick out their hand and spread the glue unsuspectingly onto their palm before asking them to hold hands. The guys started bashing each other and tried to get the glue off without success. Finally, DAkeru passed a vending machine and asked to buy a drink. They finally sat down and the truth came to light. Dakeru said he still havent forgivem Shou. Shou exclaimed Dakeru had landed the first punch! Dakeru explained he wasnt refering to that but about 6 years ago.SHou said he already explained why he left and Dakeru said he was angry because Shou didnt tell him about his son.

"Am i that untrustworthy? That unreliable?"Dakeru pondered aloud. Shou was speechless by the sudden query and stood up. Dakeru accidentally spilled the drink and the glue came undone. They stared at each other momentarily before DAkeru walked off. At that, Shou shouted to Dakeru "Are you worth trusting?" Shou went on to say Dakeru always mistaken about why Shou gave up the seat and Dakeru shot back to a surprised Shou that Shou wasnt the only one who had conflict with Shinzo. With that, Dakeru threw the bottle at him and yelled "Stupid!"

AT home, Chisato was shocked to find Dakeru eating alone in the dining room. Dakeru complained about her miso soup and that starting from tomorrow, she has to cook better! Chisato smiled and said yes! As she turned around, she was plesantly surprised to see her first handprint from Dakeru hung up! The phone rang and to her shock, Masaru was arrested by the police!
