Now that Coffee House has ended, that will leave me more time to plan my upcoming trip!
I have decided to embark on a far away trip to Copehagen and Oslo! I want to see the quaint colourful fairytale like houses in Copenhagen but I heard the little mermaid statue is in shanghai expo now. I heard there are beautiful scenery in Oslo! I plan to drive to Oslo but I have no information as to how tough it will be.
Getting really excited. Since I noticed there are readers from scandinavia region, or if you have been there before, I really hope someone can leave comments for me to tell me what are the must see and not to be missed! It will be useful and this little blogger here will be truly grateful! Plus any tips for renting car, and drive route to Olso will be great! I havent done any road trip for decades so this is hoping to be fun!

Hotaru no Hikari 2: Episode 04 『干物女のラブラブメール』 Review and Recap
Definitely another one of those hilarious episodes but it is getting more exciting now! I just love going through the whole love journey with Amemiyah and Buchou! In this episode, Hotaru discover the "Love Love" aspect of a relationship, vs the Love Love aspect of her relationship and Buchou.

When Hotaru and Buchou heard both their colleagues knocking on their door, both of them uanimously got a shock and in a half panicked state, Buchou manage to remind Hotaru to change into proper wear or her current outfit will destroy all "respect" from her junior. Knowing her way of thinking, Buchou quickly doubled back to her room and guessed correctly from outside"You dont have to wear the Hawaiian outfit!"
When there was no response, Seno was about to leave stating that he didnt see Hotaru's name outside the house. Just then, the door open and they were both shock to see Buchou, esp Seno who went "Otanka san!", linking Hotaru's nick for him. Inside, Buchou formally explain their relationship and that it was ot announced to others but they are living together in preparation for their upcoming marriage. As he concluded his explanation and said "That's all the above.", Seno commented "Why does it somehow feel like an office meetin?" (LOL)
"So this is the kind of relationship that both of you have? That's how its explained." Seno asked.
"This kind of relationship?" A puzzled Hotaru quizzed.
"Yeah the man & woman kind of relationship" Seno replied causally (refering to physical intimacy)
"Oh no, it hasnt reach that stage!" Hotaru hurriedly clarified.
"So what sort of relationship is it?" Seno pressed on.
Buchou interrupted and said hasnt he just explained it ealier? Seno retorted politely he is asking Amemiyah. Seno persistd with his questioning "Do you like Buchou? Do you REALLY like him?"
"Ehh? Really like? Is there actually real and fake liking?" a slightly confused Hotaru asked Seno as Buchou looked on looking a little uneasy.
"That is why I am asking if you really like him/ really in love! How is it that you dont get it?" Seno replied sounding exasperated. The junior girl interrrupted and said it's enough and they should go. She apologised for their unannounced visit. Seno left looking unconvinced.
At home. Hotaru was exhausted but Buchou looked troubled. Hotaru called out to Buchou who appeared half daze and told him she will talk to both of them again the next day, asking them to kep quiet about their relationship. After all, Buchou is still Buchou in the office.
Back in office, both the girl and Seno said no matter how, they just find it hard to believe the relationship as it didnt feel at all like it.
"It was a total absence of "love love" feeling/ There was totally no feeling of love" Seno told Hotaru privately.

"Sakura said couples who lived together in preparation for marriage should sppear even more in love," Seno shared.

She went on that when they were living apart in different countries, she was very happy to read all his messages/letters esp during those change of season concerns. "It's short messages but u are happy?" Buchou coyly asked. Hotaru affirmed but went on that she find it a chore/ a hassle (to reply), and there are a lot of work (no time to write)."I'm sorry I couldnt be 'Love Love'" a guilty lookin Hotaru said to Buchou. Buchou asked about Seno's question earlier if she truly like him. Hotaru replied it was prob because Seno didnt feel the "Love Love' and thus the question.
"so.." Buchou tried to ask.
"What should we/I do? It feels like a must that we must be loving after marriage But I am bad at this" Hotaru ask with concern.Buchou looked at her and awkwardly burst out "rather than discussing all this,....let's SLEEP." Not catching on at his implications, Hotaru remarked"That's right, at troubling moments like this, its better to slep early." a happy Hotaru piped. "That's not what I meant!" Buchou replied hurriedly.
"tonite, let's sleep together. Let's sleep in my room." Buchou said shyly.
As he stood up, Hotaru asked innocently "You couldnt sleep alone after getting old?" Buchou was taken back. She wnt on asking if it was the typhoon. Buchou was even more taken back by the news. She assured him it hasnt started and next week likely. Buchou was worried about the corridor door and she said she will nail it down. he said really and she said yes and happily went back to her room, leaving Buchou feeling a little lost by himself. That nite, Buchou sent a "love love" sms saying goodnite with hearts. Initially Hotaru was shocked, then she realised and said she will also work hard and replied. When Buchou read, his jaws almost dropped by her reply "Understood!"
Next day in office, Hotaru happily thanked Seno for his advice and everything is sweet and love love between her and Buchou now. She kept laughing and said she will work hard and said mail is a great thing, able to say things she cannot say in person. Seno looked on and replied a little unconvinced that she got it "i see.."
In office, Buchou and team had a meetin to discuss the shop layout theme for Natsu's shop. Buchou meanwhile sent a text to Hotaru saying he will leave dinner in her care tonite. Hotaru giggled away. Sakura asked Seno what does he think of the two's relationship, Seno said perhaps Buchou just like a cute girl like Hotaru. Sakura was shocked asking Seno he thinks a girl who eat yakitori alone is cute? He replied yeah he thinks it perfectly ok and he hates girls who cannot eat alone. Sakura tried but just couldnt do it.
Back in office, Hotaru received a call from chika-chan. When they met, the girl said she wasnt to call buchou papa anymore as her mum said Hotaru and buchou are getting maried. Hotaru said but not immediately. Chika then said to loan buchou to her. Apparently Chika wanted buchou to take her on a trip for some school artwork. Hotaru asked isnt buchou taking lave? He text her that he is taking leave for her. She laughed saying buchou is so love love person. Meanwhile as she was all excited, Buchou was dismayed about dinner and asked there isnt anything in the miso soup etc. she was totally unaware and happily told chika that Buchou will take her on a trip to Hakone. Hotaru asked how many days of summer leave he took, and she said 3. Hotaru planned that he will spend 2days 1 nite with chika and spend the last day of leave with her. He said no way as he planned the last day for major hpuse cleaning. She said they should go on a dat elike watching movie and nite scene from a bar etc. He asked her what sort of era dating is that, and no, he will spend it to clean the house and proceed to blow the dust at her.
Hotaru then asked about the theme, and suggested the cat theme. but buchou teased her "and be a flea woman like u?" Hotaru cheekily grinned and moved closer to him, and reminde him to call her. She said its all like a dream, all these love love thing...happening to her. Buchou tried to explain what love love actually means bu Hotaru has already gotten up and went back to her room.
In office, Hotaru told seno that she knew about the little daughter natsu has. A colleague overheard and that Natsu was Buchou exgf from sachiko and Shouji's conversation. meanwhile, Buchou realised he had been tricked by chika, who had planned the trip for the 3 people. Even though buchou was surprised but he said he didnt mind as he rem how excited and happy hotaru was when chika was delighted. So he shared with Natsu that Hotaru wont mind as she thinks chika looked lonely, and Hotaru is just that sort of person and he wont tell hotaru about natsu being there (to avoid upseting her) In office, Hotaru learnt that natsu was also going to Hakone. Seno sked if buchou was also in hakone. just then buchou text came in and confirmned seno;s suspicion. As seno saw all of Hotaru's reply with only "understood", he was shocked and expressed that is NOT love love at all. However hotaru happiled chirped that Buchou totally gets it.
Later the typhoon hits. The colleague told Hotaru about Natsu being exgf and Hotaru looked affected by the news. Seno asked her to give him a call and isnt it worse to ignore it. "worse?" Hotaru didnt get it. Seno explained a man and woman spending the nite together must be bad. She said but chika is there, plus didnt she nad seno spent the nite together once and nothing hapopened? Seno said it was different as he was drunk, plus isnt Natsu the ex. Hotaru flared and covered his mouth telling him to stop it. She began to work and Seno asked "you trust hi,? you trust buchou." She retorted he is being troublesome. Seno was shocked. Just then she got a text from buchou that the weather was bad in hakone and reminded about the corridor doors. She jumped up in shock and tried to rush back even though seno tried to stop her. As she persisted out in the storm, seno said he just dont get her at all!!!
At home, Seno helped her with the door nailing. When it was door, she rea the email that he said both he and chika are fine, and she was concerned about teh lie. As seno appeared, he asked if the track gear belongs to buchou but she said buchou doesnt. Seno asked why not? Looking at seno, she wondered to herseld, "is he like me? a dried up himo-guy?" Then she got a call from chika who was crying and confessing her lie, asking if she is being punished as both buchou and her mum isnt back agyer they went to get her hat in a hut up the mountain. Hotaru listened on worriedly. She hung up and wanted to rush off with the medical box, but seno stopped and calm her down saying even the trains are stopped. Instead, he passed her the phone and to call asking about details instead.
Later that nite, seno ended a call and told hotaru about Buchou;s situation. He had hurt his ankle and had to stay in the hut, the hotel will send a car tmw. As seno sat down, hotaru asked him to move from the spot, as that was buchou;'s spot. Seno apologised and said sorry he didnt know there s such a rule at home. She said it isnt a rule but happens naturally, as they spend time together drinking and chatting about happy, sad and angry things at that coridor. Over time, by the time she realised, he was already by her side. And thanks to buchou, while drinking a beer alone taste good, it tasted even better drinking with two people. Seno listened on quietly "i want to see Buchou." Hotaru confessed.
"you really like him. buchou that is. so that is real love. you have told him about your feelings?"
"no not yet." she confided.
"you should. he wont have gone on the trip if he knew." seno said.
"how do i express myself" she asked,.
"just say it., i know you are not good at such thing, but you can text him, didn t you say texting allows people to say things they couldnt express verbally?" Seno paused and continued.
Amemiya, if you continue to find doing such things is a hassle,you might end up lose something precious to you." Seno advice solemenly.
Hotaru picked uo the phone and text. Seno phone rang and saw "I Like you" message from Hotaru. he asked why is's that to him and she said its for practice! but she just cannot do it. and asked why not? Seno picked up her beer and just drank it ignoring her. next morn, seno woke and saw the note that Hotaru still cannot resist but head to where buchou is. Seno then looked at the news paper and asked aloud "why are all these newspaper doing here covering me?!" (LOL)
As Hotaru struggled her way to Buchou. she was shocked by the scene before her as she entered the hut. "is that love love?"" She saw both of them sleeping soundly together. A little jealous, she wanted to do the same and slid next to buchou. However she felt cold and so she stole some blanket, only to see natsu's hand on Buchou. Hotaru was totally upset and left the hut quietly. Sadly, Hotaru walked off alone and trying to suppress her tears. Just then Seno called and realised she was crying, He asked if she was crying but she said she was fine. He then tried to comfort and her and said to her, it was the first time he ha d"seen" her being like his. No matter what, he will be there for her to support her, wishing she will always be love love with buchou., and she must rem to tell buchou how she feels. He hung up the phone after calling her an idiot. Hotaru tried to send buchou a text to say she likes him ut she could only paused at "su" and couldnt type the "ki".She paused for very long but she didnt do it. At the same time, buchou awaken and saw the medical box from home. Both of them realised what hotaru had seen.
Back home, Hotaru approached sachiko and confessed her problem that she just cannot type the like to buchou. Shouji offered to help but sachiko told him to stop it. Hotaru said she couldnt send as buchou had lied about the trip being only 2 of them. sachiko lectured her to stop blaming everyone else or find excuse for her inability. even if buchou had told the truth the 3 of them were there, hotaru would not have been able to send the text even more. Sachiko then ask hotaru, what is yor mouth for? somethings just need to be said. Then sachiko turned to shouji and proposed to him!!! Hotaru looked in shocked and screamed she understood as sachiko pounced on shouji. (LOL)
At home, Buchou returned with a heavy heart. Hotaru said she bought a cloth for cleaning but he said they already had some. That nite, she started cleaning and didnt bring up anything making buchou more worried and tried to explain and apologised to her. He told her he didnt mention natsu because her presence didnt mean anything to him.he was there only to make chika happy. he went on to explain and that last nite, he injured his ankle and the wind was strong, and natsu was worried and so she went. he was afraid hotaru will misunderstand so he didnt say anything to her. Hotaru said she understood.
Hotaru went on asking "your leg must have hurt rite? The typhoon must be scary rite?"
"Spending a day with a child must be tiring being unused to it. You must be tired and went to sleep. I wont think of wild thots or worry as buchou isnt that sort of person. However, when i saw the two of u together i was really shocked. I wonder, is that love love, and even if you say its nothing i was still shocked. To me, i thot sms was love love already but i was wrong. I really dont know what being sweetly in love is." As buchou listened on intently, she turned to him and call out buchou, and pounced on buchou!
Buchou then said he thought abt it too, what constitute ltrue ove love,. he tried to say sweet message but that isnt their style (how their relationship works). then he said "Only after being with you, then I understood
while drinking beer alone tasted good, it tasted even better when two people are drinking ogether." Hotaru was touched as he shared the same sentiment as her! "I'm truly sory. and thank you for coming to visit me atthe hut." buchou said sincerely. Hotaru said it was nothing.
Buchou stood up and grabbed 2 beers for them. Hotaru said she must braced her courage and tell buchou her feeling., "Buchou. I...i.....li...like you!" Buchou was stunned! He asked what did she say and to repeat but she wont, saying she wont repat it. Buchou smiled and both of them sat together and drank the beer happily. He then called Natsu that all is well and Hotaru undestand. Natsu then told Buchou while claning is good, perhaps he should take her out instead. Buchou said yeah he will, to see a movie and nite scence together. Natsu laughed asking him what era dating is that and buchou smiled saying that's what Hotaru wanted. Natsu commented Hotaru is truly a simple girl at heart. meanwhile, Hotaru was talking to seno that as long as they have that corridor, to be able to sit with buchou at the corridor, that will be love love. Seno nodded on the other end saying softly "so it is...." Hotaru happily said yeah!
In office, Seno was looking at the "i like u message" from hotaru as buchou entered the office. Seno presented the design idea and said its based on her conversation with Hotaru, that the corridor was able to relax her. Buchou asked Hotaru had spoke about it? "Oh yeah i had borrow your raincoat and also, this is your key." seno replied avoiding the question. Buchou asked how come the key was with him? "havent you heard?" Seno asked as he walked off saying he needed to shower.
Out of the blue, Seno said " I am sorry"
"Why are you apologsing?" Buchou asked.
"I...I have fallen for amemiyah" Seno confessed and walked off leaving a stunned Buchou at the news.

As seno appeared, he asked if the track gear belongs to buchou but she said buchou doesnt. Seno asked why not? Looking at seno, she wondered to herseld, "is he like me? a dried up himo-guy?" Then she got a call from chika who was crying and confessing her lie, asking if she is being punished as both buchou and her mum isnt back agyer they went to get her hat in a hut up the mountain. Hotaru listened on worriedly. She hung up and wanted to rush off with the medical box, but seno stopped and calm her down saying even the trains are stopped. Instead, he passed her the phone and to call asking about details instead.
Later that nite, seno ended a call and told hotaru about Buchou;s situation. He had hurt his ankle and had to stay in the hut, the hotel will send a car tmw. As seno sat down, hotaru asked him to move from the spot, as that was buchou;'s spot. Seno apologised and said sorry he didnt know there s such a rule at home. She said it isnt a rule but happens naturally, as they spend time together drinking and chatting about happy, sad and angry things at that coridor. Over time, by the time she realised, he was already by her side. And thanks to buchou, while drinking a beer alone taste good, it tasted even better drinking with two people. Seno listened on quietly "i want to see Buchou." Hotaru confessed.
"you really like him. buchou that is. so that is real love. you have told him about your feelings?"
"no not yet." she confided.
"you should. he wont have gone on the trip if he knew." seno said.

Hotaru picked uo the phone and text. Seno phone rang and saw "I Like you" message from Hotaru. he asked why is's that to him and she said its for practice! but she just cannot do it. and asked why not? Seno picked up her beer and just drank it ignoring her. next morn, seno woke and saw the note that Hotaru still cannot resist but head to where buchou is. Seno then looked at the news paper and asked aloud "why are all these newspaper doing here covering me?!" (LOL)
As Hotaru struggled her way to Buchou. she was shocked by the scene before her as she entered the hut. "is that love love?"" She saw both of them sleeping soundly together. A little jealous, she wanted to do the same and slid next to buchou. However she felt cold and so she stole some blanket, only to see natsu's hand on Buchou. Hotaru was totally upset and left the hut quietly. Sadly, Hotaru walked off alone and trying to suppress her tears. Just then Seno called and realised she was crying, He asked if she was crying but she said she was fine. He then tried to comfort and her and said to her, it was the first time he ha d"seen" her being like his. No matter what, he will be there for her to support her, wishing she will always be love love with buchou., and she must rem to tell buchou how she feels. He hung up the phone after calling her an idiot. Hotaru tried to send buchou a text to say she likes him ut she could only paused at "su" and couldnt type the "ki".She paused for very long but she didnt do it. At the same time, buchou awaken and saw the medical box from home. Both of them realised what hotaru had seen.
Back home, Hotaru approached sachiko and confessed her problem that she just cannot type the like to buchou. Shouji offered to help but sachiko told him to stop it. Hotaru said she couldnt send as buchou had lied about the trip being only 2 of them. sachiko lectured her to stop blaming everyone else or find excuse for her inability. even if buchou had told the truth the 3 of them were there, hotaru would not have been able to send the text even more. Sachiko then ask hotaru, what is yor mouth for? somethings just need to be said. Then sachiko turned to shouji and proposed to him!!! Hotaru looked in shocked and screamed she understood as sachiko pounced on shouji. (LOL)
At home, Buchou returned with a heavy heart. Hotaru said she bought a cloth for cleaning but he said they already had some. That nite, she started cleaning and didnt bring up anything making buchou more worried and tried to explain and apologised to her. He told her he didnt mention natsu because her presence didnt mean anything to him.he was there only to make chika happy. he went on to explain and that last nite, he injured his ankle and the wind was strong, and natsu was worried and so she went. he was afraid hotaru will misunderstand so he didnt say anything to her. Hotaru said she understood.
Hotaru went on asking "your leg must have hurt rite? The typhoon must be scary rite?"
"Spending a day with a child must be tiring being unused to it. You must be tired and went to sleep. I wont think of wild thots or worry as buchou isnt that sort of person. However, when i saw the two of u together i was really shocked. I wonder, is that love love, and even if you say its nothing i was still shocked. To me, i thot sms was love love already but i was wrong. I really dont know what being sweetly in love is." As buchou listened on intently, she turned to him and call out buchou, and pounced on buchou!
Buchou then said he thought abt it too, what constitute ltrue ove love,. he tried to say sweet message but that isnt their style (how their relationship works). then he said "Only after being with you, then I understood
while drinking beer alone tasted good, it tasted even better when two people are drinking ogether." Hotaru was touched as he shared the same sentiment as her! "I'm truly sory. and thank you for coming to visit me atthe hut." buchou said sincerely. Hotaru said it was nothing.
Buchou stood up and grabbed 2 beers for them. Hotaru said she must braced her courage and tell buchou her feeling., "Buchou. I...i.....li...like you!" Buchou was stunned! He asked what did she say and to repeat but she wont, saying she wont repat it. Buchou smiled and both of them sat together and drank the beer happily. He then called Natsu that all is well and Hotaru undestand. Natsu then told Buchou while claning is good, perhaps he should take her out instead. Buchou said yeah he will, to see a movie and nite scence together. Natsu laughed asking him what era dating is that and buchou smiled saying that's what Hotaru wanted. Natsu commented Hotaru is truly a simple girl at heart. meanwhile, Hotaru was talking to seno that as long as they have that corridor, to be able to sit with buchou at the corridor, that will be love love. Seno nodded on the other end saying softly "so it is...." Hotaru happily said yeah!
In office, Seno was looking at the "i like u message" from hotaru as buchou entered the office. Seno presented the design idea and said its based on her conversation with Hotaru, that the corridor was able to relax her. Buchou asked Hotaru had spoke about it? "Oh yeah i had borrow your raincoat and also, this is your key." seno replied avoiding the question. Buchou asked how come the key was with him? "havent you heard?" Seno asked as he walked off saying he needed to shower.
Out of the blue, Seno said " I am sorry"
"Why are you apologsing?" Buchou asked.
"I...I have fallen for amemiyah" Seno confessed and walked off leaving a stunned Buchou at the news.
Hotaru who was at home still fretting about the stinky raincoat had no idea of what was happening!

Coffee House Ep 18 Recap and Review
Finally finished watching last episode of Coffee House Ep 18. I think it wraps up pretty well, nice with touching scenes. My fav scene was actually the part where JS had a chat with SY in her cafe. It was heart warming, sincere and touching.
Coffee House Ep 18 Summary
The ep starts with SY calling the barrister, asking if he is attending EY and JW's wedding ceremony? He said yes and she asked if he could help give "red packet" to the couple on behalf as she couldnt attend. However he told her she can save it as the wedding ceremony is now chaotic and a mess, and came to a complete stop.
At the wedding venue, EY process the scene before her, the shattered plates, sobbing mum and police crawling all over. Her mum sobbingly asked how could JS do such a thing, esp when they know each other so well... Meanwhile her staff update her on the incident, saying that its not simple as the publisher who got bashed up had asked along some reporters due to the upcoming signing of contract with JS. Thus the media is rapidly ablaze reporting the physical violence incident. EY's staff continued that JS is not with any publishing house and thus it is impertinent that they should protect him regardless. Taking in every detail of the situation, EY started yelling and shocked everyone as she screamed "He is such a jerk! Rubbish! Unbelievable!" She then asked where JS is and as she rushed out, she saw him being escorted into the police car. As she stared at him, JS just gave her a weak smile. After the car drove away, EY immediately instructed her staff to contact the company lawyer and find out the status of the injury. As she is alone, she mmumbled" So this is your way of helping me to find a solution huh..."
JW went into the resting room at the venue and looked for EY. He couldnt find her and went searching for her, only to be told she had left with the publishing company staff.
At the police station, JS searched the Internet and muttered "why is it only such picture?" SY went to visit J asking how could he do such a thing.. In the room, JS said he only wanted her respect and his heart is breaking. Sy pressed on asking why did he do such a thing, if there wasnt any other solution and the guy will take 8 weeks to recover. JS asked what about his female fans and exasperated SY asked how could he be thinking of that now? JS then whispered he is short of money and SY asked if the rumours about him owning debt is true? JS went on to convince SY that he is in dire straits now, where can he get all the money to deal with the compensation etc. Then he hinted he could try to write a book, with an interesting concept like some "island"...SY was alittle slow on the uptake and then she realised what he was hinting at. Eventually even though she was much reluctant, she asked if he was referring to her novel idea and JS jumped on it and aske if she would give it to him. With much difficulty, SY said she will give him and JS asked really? She said seeing that there was no other way to help him, she has to and JS yelled reprimanding at her for being so silly and as if he would really need to steal the work of some novice? SY was visibly affected and asked if he has to be like that?
EY arranged with the lawyer and visited JS at the station. The lawyer started to explain the situation doesnt look good as it was hot media news now. Ey stared at him suspiciously and then gave it to him straight that he has ruined his own future, and the writers association is even considering to strip him off the writer list. She asked if JS thinks the bashed up guy will agree to settle? He has only 3 choices . Either 1. he said a disadvantageous contract that will exploit him to write hundred of low grade crappy novel, 2. He get strike off as a writer and has to hide in the background forever or 3. He get sued and risk being bankrupt. The lawyer tried to diffuse the tension saying that the situation may not be that bad. However he will need to ascertain some facts first such as any debt or drug problems. JS slipped a paper over, explaining that the person on the paper will give all the evidence JS has collected from the trap he set, exposing all the dirty tricks and underhand exploitation of new writers that the bashed up publisher has done. The lawyer asked but why did he go to such an extent? JS looked at EY and said "because I am a jerk, a rubbish." Ey asked the lawyer to excuse them.
Alone, she asked JS for an explanation, reasons as a brilliant writer. Js agreed and started.
1. It is to stop the unconvincing wedding
2. It is to stop EY from becoming one of those boring dead end female character in stories.
3. No matter what, it is my responsibility for this violent incident
4. If I fail completely, you will be very sad and will look for a way to escape the wedding
5. Even if you are to find a scapegoat, you will need a proper worthy guy to do so
6. Because of EY, I have done something that I will never do in my entire life.
7. Because I love you.
Hearing that heartfelt confession, EY started to cry without a word as she looked at JS seated opposite her.
The lawyer peeked in and asked if he could come in now but sensing the atmosphere, he quietly retreated.
At the agency, SY was relieved to hear that the matter of JS will be solved without complications. Just then, JW appeared from the office and asked Sy to join him for a drink. "I had asked him to leave." JW told a surprised SY. "You didnt know rite?" JW looked at her as he continued to drink. Why Sy asked him. " Do you know the ring you were wearing before, who was it for?" Sy said she didnt know. JW revealed it was for EY and Sy was totally shocked. JW explained that was why he told JS to leave since EY didnt seem to know. However JS didnt leave and the end result is this. He said Sy prob think EY wont leave him but he felt it that she would. Because she had tried her hardest. Even so, that made him even more uneasy, where his happiness is mixed with uneasiness. He asked if she knew such a complex feeling? SY remained silent though she looked like she was about to cry.
At home, SY watched the news of JS's arrest and updates and thought to herself. Meanwhile Ey returned to office and as she saw JW who greeted her saying she is late, and what is happening to JS? At the station, Ey and lawyer met JS again. JS said in jest that there sure were many visitors today. They spotted JS was injured and someone had hurt him. JS said it didnt matter. EY excused the lawyer again and asked if HE was here. JS replied that He was much more calm than expected but had told him that JS will be sued and to be mentally prepared. EY said he is just made but isnt ruthless. JS said that is what he expected as he is in no position to say otherwise.
Then JS looked at the contract and read out his and her name. He started to say perhaps he should write 30volumes, one every 2 years, and they will be 90yrs by then. He questioned when should the first novel complete? Can he finish by end of the year. If he must wait, he will for everything to be sorted out. Ey listened on amazed and surprised. JS continued "let's make the date as 24th dec." He signed and passed it to her. "From now to death, at least we are related/ contracted as A and B again ." JS said with a smile. Dont be too happy as I will watch you like a hawk she said. "Let's shake hand to seal the deal" JS said. As Ey reached out and shook his hand, JS whipped out a ring and slipped it into her wedding finger., "To commemorate the signing of our contract ." JS said. EY was shocked. JS joking said there isnt much time left after his release and he will have to write like mad to fulfil the dateline. EY asked where will he be? He said to a place where there are no koreans due to the his current fame. EY looked at him hesitantly. JS said "Xmas eve. Dont forget." Ey looked up and smiled. Both of them sat across the table and looked at each other with their renewed promise.
SY was at the cafe when the door bells rang and a familiar figure appeared. Sy was stunned at his appearance. As she recalled their very first meeting, she asked if he is released? JS asked isnt it tiring to work by day and man the cafe by nite and she said she is accustomed to it. She made him coffee in his special glass and JS looked on and smiled. As he took a smile, SY asked isnt he gonna spit it out? He smiled and said she isnt his secretary anymore and he cannot do as he pleased. Guess it still isnt up to your taste SY remarked.

Sy said it;'s ok but she started to cry as her tears fell uncontrollably. JS looked on at her quietly as she struggled with her own heartbreak. No matter how hard SY tried to hold back her tears, she couldnt stop and finally she broke down completely. JS drank his coffee silently as he watched over her, letting her run through her sadness.
"Have your finished crying". As she confirmed yes, he looked at his watch and commented "You cried for an hour." Sy thanked him for sitting there an hour to accompany her as she cried it out. JS told her watching her cry almost made him forget his purpose for being there. He had something for her. As he slipped the envelope to her, he teased her that he was worried that she wont be able to marry by 40 without publishing her book, so he is helping to shave off 5 years for her. He had bought her an open ticket for a year, to the destination of her novel, not to confirm or invent her imagination, but to get more inspiration as she discover another "world", and so she can complete her dream in 5 years.
There, how is it? Dont you respect me even more now, the most respected in the world. JS joked with her. Yes she said and continued, "You are right, one truly need to pay a price to persist, and hold on to one's belief. I think you made the right decision/judgement." JS smiled and said she is the only one who approved of what he has done. Sy smiled and said "Aint I the greatest? The best secretary in the world's history?" JS recalled their earlier encounters years back, at how she had first pleaded him for the job assuring him that she will be a very good professional secretary despite his rejections. JS broke into a smile again and replied sincerely, "Yes, indeed the world's best. Even if I had only had one." JS chuckled. As SY said goodbye to JS, the scene showed the coffee mug was left empty. JS has finally finished every drop of teh coffeee SY has made.
After JS left, SY thot to herself:
"That day, for that moment i will always rem, it was the time I flipped past my page one."
Xmas eve arrived. Sy was rushing off to the island of her novel idea. The writer's association directors visited EY in her office as they heard they are meeting JS. They then told her, to encourage JS to continue writing and not let the "evil" publisher hinder his talent. Ey tried to hide back her grin as unknown to them was the Xmas deal struck privately between EY and JS...
SY rushed off to board the plane. The barrister came to fetch her. SY dad said that he still has approved / like him, but the barrister good naturedly said he is only sending Sy to the airport.
On board, she was more determined to be the writer and she "imagined" the scene between JS and EY. Meanwhile, Ey turned up at JS apartment and they smiled at each other. As for JW, he has renewed his "charm" and wasted no time to go after the blond colleague who was single. The episode ends merrily with everyone going after what make them happy.

JS told her watching her cry almost made him forget his purpose for being there. He had something for her. As he slipped the envelope to her, he teased her that he was worried that she wont be able to marry by 40 without publishing her book, so he is helping to shave off 5 years for her. He had bought her an open ticket for a year, to the destination of her novel, not to confirm or invent her imagination, but to get more inspiration as she discover another "world", and so she can complete her dream in 5 years.
There, how is it? Dont you respect me even more now, the most respected in the world. JS joked with her. Yes she said and continued, "You are right, one truly need to pay a price to persist, and hold on to one's belief. I think you made the right decision/judgement." JS smiled and said she is the only one who approved of what he has done. Sy smiled and said "Aint I the greatest? The best secretary in the world's history?" JS recalled their earlier encounters years back, at how she had first pleaded him for the job assuring him that she will be a very good professional secretary despite his rejections. JS broke into a smile again and replied sincerely, "Yes, indeed the world's best. Even if I had only had one." JS chuckled. As SY said goodbye to JS, the scene showed the coffee mug was left empty. JS has finally finished every drop of teh coffeee SY has made.
After JS left, SY thot to herself:
"That day, for that moment i will always rem, it was the time I flipped past my page one."
Xmas eve arrived. Sy was rushing off to the island of her novel idea. The writer's association directors visited EY in her office as they heard they are meeting JS. They then told her, to encourage JS to continue writing and not let the "evil" publisher hinder his talent. Ey tried to hide back her grin as unknown to them was the Xmas deal struck privately between EY and JS...
SY rushed off to board the plane. The barrister came to fetch her. SY dad said that he still has approved / like him, but the barrister good naturedly said he is only sending Sy to the airport.
On board, she was more determined to be the writer and she "imagined" the scene between JS and EY. Meanwhile, Ey turned up at JS apartment and they smiled at each other. As for JW, he has renewed his "charm" and wasted no time to go after the blond colleague who was single. The episode ends merrily with everyone going after what make them happy.

Coffee House Episode 17 Review and recap
A little pressed for time today so the synopsis will be a short one. However I loved the ending of this ep! It was absolutely delighful in its own way! I didnt know if I should laugh or be worried! I think this ep paved the way for EY and JS's future in a way. Honestly, if JS and EY are not together, I will simply be lost for words!
Coffee House Ep 17: Summary
Basically JS fulfilled his promise and did the weekly on air programme. All the past memories with JS flashed past before Ey as she cried tears of sadness. Just then, SY called EY to tell her that JS has turned up and EY was relieved. She couldnt resist but turn on the radio to hear his voice before turning it off again.
Meanwhile, JS who was awaken b SY's words previously decided to talk to EY in person. He turned up at her place and asked her in private if she is really happy? he mentioned she had lied to him many times in the past and so he really wanted to hear the truth from her in person one last time. If she isnt sure about the marriage, she should let him know. The reason he is staying is because he wanted to protect something, which is her happiness. Regardless how their relationship is defined, may it be friends, business associates or even his senior's wife, it doesnt matter. He only wanted her to be happy and thus he is here to ask, whether leaving her here to be married while they are separated can truly make her happy, or perhaps he is still messing it up doing th wrong thing till the end? Can it be his self arrogance making a serious judgement error? "Will you...be really happy?" JS asked as he hold back his tears.
EY was a little taken back and speechless for a while.. She said how is she to know when nothing has started (refering to her marriage). Canx you feel? JS asked her. "Like you, the roller coaster sort of emotions?" She asked him back. JS told her if she is not sure or has doubt, she shouldnt do it. She said "If I had known...I never even thought remotely that you would have returned two years later.....If only you had let me know for certain you will be back after 2 years..." JS kept quiet hearing that...
In the car, EY called JS. She said thanks for asking her again. However, while she isnt sure if she will ever regret saying it, but at this moment, she has no choice. She has things to protect. "I wont force you, but if you think you wont be happy, then tell me anytime, even up to the morn of the ceremony, I will fight for it no matter what cost, everything, I will help you fidn the answer. " EY was stunned by his statement. Before he drove off, JS called someone to say he will be late.
It turns out that JS was meeting another publisher whose terms were horrible and JS asked him to redo the contract. While he was there, some of the EY's publishing staff saw him and asked if he was really changing his publisher. However, JS told her not to tell EY about it.
The barrister finally confronted SY about her pretence with JS as a couple. he said he heard from EY. He expressed his liking and wishes to court her but SY declined. She said while the couple thing was indeed a pretence, however her liking for JS was genuine even if it is one sided. The barrister asked why does it has to be so? SY said affairs of the heart is something which cannot be controlled.
As Ey was leaving office and taking leave before the sat wedding, she bumped into JS along the streets, However strugging emotionally, she turned round and walked away from him without a word. As it started to pour, she dashed into a telephone booth and all the past memories with JS flooded her mind. EY started to sob uncontrollably...
The next day, JS learnt from EY's staff that she is down with serious bout of fever and cold. Concerned, JS went to EY's house to treat her. When she woke, JS smiled and reminded her he was a doctor before he was a writer. He asked her if she was in this state becaise of him. She said "yes, its all because of you, all due to you. You horrible beggar, you horrible garbage.." EY started to cry again. Js changed topic and said lightheartedly that his diagnosis is that she will recover by sat for her wedding and by her hardheaded nature, she will not delay the wedding for sure. Then he whispered in half jest to her "How about this? Shall i grab the bride's and ran out of the wedding? romantic right? Dun all girls like this?" EY asked isnt he kidding and ridiculous? JS continued to elaborate the plan that since there wasnt much choice, but he reckon it will be embarrassing for parents from both sides, too huge an embarrassment to face anyone in future. EY smiled and replied that the JS that she knew, would not do such a grand thing. JS went "really? So i isnt the sort?" EY gave a weak chuckle and said to drag the bride out before so many pair of eyes, not anyone else but you JS? JS smiled and agreed that he hate such person the most. To express his feelings and do such a thing would indeed be ridiculously funny not to mention his image will be ruined. EY said the sort of JS she knew would appear, glance and then leave. "I am suffering now, please dont make me sad further." EY told him. JS gave a helpless smile and kept quiet. Just then, the other lady returned with the medication. EY said its time for him to go and he left. Alone, EY cried as she lay on the bed alone.
As JS was leaving the studio, SY thanked him and he jokingly said that to retain that "respect sure was a "burden" and pressure. He asked if she is keeping her word and returned her the botebook with her novel ideas. He had corrected and gave ideas to her draft. Sy was supremely touched. JS asked she must be overflowing with respect now and she replied yes! Sy asked if he is going to the wedding and JS told her not to go. She asked why not and he said Just dont go! Sy said how can she not since she knows both the couple but JS said just don go. In the lift, JS teased her again for the novel saying it has been an ordeal and painful to correct it and she should improve her standard based on his corrections.
On way to the wedding, EY was out of sorts and wasnt concentrating. She was visibly troubled and not paying attention to anything her staff was saying. She took a huge breathe before walking down the aisle to a happy JW. However she was not smiling at all. JS was walking up the steps solemnly as the wedding procession begins. Just outside the door, JS slowly approaches the main door and signed his name with a heavy heart.
Just when he looked like he was leaving, JS appeared to make a mental preparation before embarking on his agenda and smiled. Readied, he kicked the door open and everyone was stunned. Ey was shocked as she rem the earlier conversations they had about him trying to take her away. Instead, JS made a beeline straight for the "new" publisher and bashed him up badly. Apparently, the contract had been terribly unfair or bad towards JS upon some legal advice. JS smiled and remarked he had truly picked the worst of the worst publishers possible. (it was intentional) JS continued to bash the guy relentlessly while EY and JW watched on unbelibeing their eyes!

Summer's Desire Ep9 Recap and Review
Sorry this update is kinda late coz I had to spend half a day chasing after the Inland Revenue people for my online access code. Arrrrrrrrhhhhhhh..Its such a nitemare. Dont even wanna go there.
Back to topic, ok another not so great episode. I really wanna stop watching but then it s kinda bad coz that will mean I have to stop summarising and I hate to pull a stunt like that halfway thru, esp since it isnt exactly THAT bad.
泡沫之夏Episode 09 Summary
The episode goes back to Xiamo pleading OuChen to do the kidney transplant but he refused and explained its all in vengene towards her. That said, Xiamo kneeled down and said if its all about revenge, please direct it at only her, and if it suits him, will her death then allows her to strike a successful bargain? Ou chen was stunned and asked if she was threatening him. Since he was only insanely inlove with her and didnt really want her dead. So instead, he proposed that if Xiamo is willing to marry him, he will agree. (the scene didnt show that she rejected him but she did)
Xiamo was at lost at what to do as she went home. On the way, she was self reprimanding that she wasnt a good sister because she turned down Ouchen's condition. At the gate, she was surprised to find Luoxi sitting all alone at her porch waiting for her return. She invited him in and he asked her why she was uncontactedable via mobile and when he did get thru, she didnt answer? She wanted to explain but he wont give her a moment or chance to say anything. He asked her if she read about the scandal between him and shenqiao. Xiamo said yes. He become agitated asking how didnt she seem to care and not even a call to ask? She said ist it all fake and gossip news? SShe trusted him plus she was really too busy the past weeks. He kept cutting her off and then demanded if she was with Ouchen. He then (correctly) presume that she must be with Ouchen which was why she didnt pick up the call. Finally, she give up and said she is really tired. Luoxi continued to rant and finally, xiamo had a chance to say that her brother was hospitalised and thus she had no spare bandwidth to deal with other inconsequential matters. Luoxi was shocked and asked if xiaochen will be alrite? Xiamo replied that HE will recover. Luoxi then question why didnt she tell him so that he can accompany her and be by her side during this crisis. She said she can handle it alone. Luoxi got all worked up again and asked why did she tell ouchen then? She said its about other things. However Luoxi already was fixated with mistrust that he refused to accept anything she said. Instead, he coldly replied that since he was always being abandoned, he will be the first to abandon her for a change! Xiamo hugged him and said she loved him, but he coldly replied that the problem is, he doesnt trust her anymore. With that, he left.
Meanwhile, Xiamo desperately tried to look for other ways to save her brother. She attended a celeb party and desperately wanted to locate Luoxi's boss. However, one of her ex-foe appeared and deliberately spilled drinks on her. Ouchen witnessed and grabbed xiamo away to get a fresh gown for her. When they appeared on stage, Xiamo explained she is looking for Xiaochen's dad (they shared the same dad but different mother)- which was Luoxi's boss! Ouchen stopped her from proceeding on her own, explaining that with him ard to do the introductions, she willface less problems. When she spotted him, Ouchen led her to Luoxi's boss and made the introduction.
Xiamo wanted to speak to him but she kept gettign interrupted by Shen qiao who refused her. Xiamo politely ignored her and requested to speak in private but shen qiao said NO again "on behalf" of her boss. Xiamo was really annoyed and told shenqiao off, saying that she was being very rude since she is not talking to shenqiao but her boss. Ouchen then said if the boss was feeling better since he is recovering from some kidney problems. Xiamo was stunned at the news. The boss continued to explain that his health is giving and indeed his kidneys has been giving him some problems but nothing major as yet. Xiamo knew then her chances to ask the father for transplant is dashed. Just then, xiamo received a call from her manager that her brother has collasped in the hospital! Frantically and pale, she ran out with Ouchen trailing. Luoxi wanted to follow seeing her expression but shenqiao tried to stop him. He ignored her and dashed out but was too late, the other two had gone.
Xiamo was panicky and crying all the way as ouchen drove them to the hospital. Looking at her, Ouchen had feeling the pain at her state. When she saw her manager, the manager initially was so panicky and gave xiamo the impression that her brother had died. Ouchen told the manager to calm down and say things thru properly and only then she managed to say that it wasnt too bad but because she felt helpess, she panicked and called xiamo. However, Xiamo still didnt recover from the shock. Luoxi meanwhile was making calls to find out which hospital they are in.
Alone, Ouchen couldnt bear to see her suffering, and told Xiamo that he is willing to do the transplant and just forget the deal. He simply couldnt bear to be the one to torture her like this, so he will do the transplant. However, a very dazed Xiamo simply muttered" let's get married". At that precise moment, Luoxi appeared and overheard what she said. He was crushed and Ouchen even though shocked, was more than happy to agree.
Luoxi couldnt get over the grieve and tried to overpack his schedule with work. His boss intervened and stopped his foolishness. The boss told Luoxi something must be amissed and the two must have a misundertsanding. They should talk and clear it up. Luoxi however said he saw it with his own eyes. However the boss said even if he saw something, it doesnt mean he understand the whole picture. Luoxi then queried didn the boss never loved anyone before? The boss said he had lied. He had previously loved a woman very very much despite that she comes from an influential family and wealth. However one day when she was out entertaining, she barged onto the scene where he was "cosy" with a bargirl. His love turned and fled the scene and he lost touch with her ever since. The boss claimed that it was the work of the girl;s father whose aim was to sow discord between them. Listening to that, Luoxi decided to make another attempt to talk to Xiamo.
Meanwhile, Xiamo was in bookstore with Ouchen, looking for a book for her brother. He walked to her and asked if she was ready. She looked at her list and said she was done. However Ouchen noticed something. When she was ready to pay, she commented to the cashier that the store was surprisingly empty. The cashier cast a furtive glance at Ouchen and kept quiet. Xiamo then realised that ouchen had book the whole bookstore for her to browse in leisure! She wanted to pay for the books and Ouchen relented. However he asked the cashier why isnt there a particular book (that was on Xiamo's list)? Xiamo was surprised by his observation. The cashier replied it was sold out and wasnt stock yet. He told her to inform him once it was in.
On way to hospital, Ouchen asked Xiamo if she hates him (for the condition). She said she is not. Infact afetr she thot it thru, she felt that Ouchen really wasnt obliged to help at all since they ar not even related! Ouchen offered to delay the wedding (implied: so that she can care for her brother to recovery) but Xiamo declined, saying that since the date is fixed and informed, its too much of a hassle. Infact, she promised Ouchen that after they are married, she will strived to be a good wife. Ouchen was visibly happy to hear that. After he dropped her off, Ouchen made a call to delay the wedding. And the he rushed to the bookstore to get the book she had wanted to get for her brother.
Meanwhile, Xiamo saw Luoxi. He tried to talk to xiamo saying that she must have been forced and what was the reasons. Xiamo denied being forced. Luoxi then went into the emotional state and started talking about the past where the 3 of them had taken part in the contest etc... Then he forcefully kissed Xiamo! Xiamo tried to push him off and when they did part, Luoxi saw Ouchen standing not far staring at them. Xiamo was at loss for words. However, Ouchen walked towards her and as he put his arms round her, he announced that he had called but the church dates are full and he wasnt able to postponed the wedding.
With that, the two of them walked off leaving a lonely anguished Luoxi.
Afterthought
This episode grinds on my nerves a little because luoxi is sooooo wishy washy with his insecurity and I dont get why Xiamo seemed to have an issue of stubborness to just spill the beans and come clean with Luoxi about her problems. She doesnt treat him like a bf, thus compounding all his insecurities. I suppose thhe show wanted to make her seemed strong but she comes across more like someone who neglects the feelings of people ard her. Since she already know who luoxi's boss is the person she needs to contact, couldnt she tell luoxi about the truth instead of telling ouchen? And why didnt she just tell luoxi about ouchen;'s condition? Its soooo vexing seeing 2 idiotic people circiling chasing after their own tail!
I actually kinda like Ouchen character the most. Even though he is overly possessive, at least he gives it his all for the person he love. He doesnt become wishy washy like Luoxi. He would do anything to try to complete her world. To be fair, he didnt mean to cost the death of her parents and he WAS remorseful and promised to change but she didnt give him the chance. After all that and despite all that, he still loves her insanely and willing to go thru the transplant risk for her. Seriously, he is th most pitiful of them all!
I wonder if xiaochen is ouchen's brother? I am guessing Luoxi's boss is Ouchen;s birth father...

Xiamo was panicky and crying all the way as ouchen drove them to the hospital. Looking at her, Ouchen had feeling the pain at her state. When she saw her manager, the manager initially was so panicky and gave xiamo the impression that her brother had died. Ouchen told the manager to calm down and say things thru properly and only then she managed to say that it wasnt too bad but because she felt helpess, she panicked and called xiamo. However, Xiamo still didnt recover from the shock. Luoxi meanwhile was making calls to find out which hospital they are in.
Alone, Ouchen couldnt bear to see her suffering, and told Xiamo that he is willing to do the transplant and just forget the deal. He simply couldnt bear to be the one to torture her like this, so he will do the transplant. However, a very dazed Xiamo simply muttered" let's get married". At that precise moment, Luoxi appeared and overheard what she said. He was crushed and Ouchen even though shocked, was more than happy to agree.
Luoxi couldnt get over the grieve and tried to overpack his schedule with work. His boss intervened and stopped his foolishness. The boss told Luoxi something must be amissed and the two must have a misundertsanding. They should talk and clear it up. Luoxi however said he saw it with his own eyes. However the boss said even if he saw something, it doesnt mean he understand the whole picture. Luoxi then queried didn the boss never loved anyone before? The boss said he had lied. He had previously loved a woman very very much despite that she comes from an influential family and wealth. However one day when she was out entertaining, she barged onto the scene where he was "cosy" with a bargirl. His love turned and fled the scene and he lost touch with her ever since. The boss claimed that it was the work of the girl;s father whose aim was to sow discord between them. Listening to that, Luoxi decided to make another attempt to talk to Xiamo.
Meanwhile, Xiamo was in bookstore with Ouchen, looking for a book for her brother. He walked to her and asked if she was ready. She looked at her list and said she was done. However Ouchen noticed something. When she was ready to pay, she commented to the cashier that the store was surprisingly empty. The cashier cast a furtive glance at Ouchen and kept quiet. Xiamo then realised that ouchen had book the whole bookstore for her to browse in leisure! She wanted to pay for the books and Ouchen relented. However he asked the cashier why isnt there a particular book (that was on Xiamo's list)? Xiamo was surprised by his observation. The cashier replied it was sold out and wasnt stock yet. He told her to inform him once it was in.
On way to hospital, Ouchen asked Xiamo if she hates him (for the condition). She said she is not. Infact afetr she thot it thru, she felt that Ouchen really wasnt obliged to help at all since they ar not even related! Ouchen offered to delay the wedding (implied: so that she can care for her brother to recovery) but Xiamo declined, saying that since the date is fixed and informed, its too much of a hassle. Infact, she promised Ouchen that after they are married, she will strived to be a good wife. Ouchen was visibly happy to hear that. After he dropped her off, Ouchen made a call to delay the wedding. And the he rushed to the bookstore to get the book she had wanted to get for her brother.
Meanwhile, Xiamo saw Luoxi. He tried to talk to xiamo saying that she must have been forced and what was the reasons. Xiamo denied being forced. Luoxi then went into the emotional state and started talking about the past where the 3 of them had taken part in the contest etc... Then he forcefully kissed Xiamo! Xiamo tried to push him off and when they did part, Luoxi saw Ouchen standing not far staring at them. Xiamo was at loss for words. However, Ouchen walked towards her and as he put his arms round her, he announced that he had called but the church dates are full and he wasnt able to postponed the wedding.
With that, the two of them walked off leaving a lonely anguished Luoxi.
Afterthought
This episode grinds on my nerves a little because luoxi is sooooo wishy washy with his insecurity and I dont get why Xiamo seemed to have an issue of stubborness to just spill the beans and come clean with Luoxi about her problems. She doesnt treat him like a bf, thus compounding all his insecurities. I suppose thhe show wanted to make her seemed strong but she comes across more like someone who neglects the feelings of people ard her. Since she already know who luoxi's boss is the person she needs to contact, couldnt she tell luoxi about the truth instead of telling ouchen? And why didnt she just tell luoxi about ouchen;'s condition? Its soooo vexing seeing 2 idiotic people circiling chasing after their own tail!
I actually kinda like Ouchen character the most. Even though he is overly possessive, at least he gives it his all for the person he love. He doesnt become wishy washy like Luoxi. He would do anything to try to complete her world. To be fair, he didnt mean to cost the death of her parents and he WAS remorseful and promised to change but she didnt give him the chance. After all that and despite all that, he still loves her insanely and willing to go thru the transplant risk for her. Seriously, he is th most pitiful of them all!
I wonder if xiaochen is ouchen's brother? I am guessing Luoxi's boss is Ouchen;s birth father...

One manga stopping manga hosting...
I'm so sad today...because I found out that One Manga has been asked to stop hosting scanlations of all the mangas... I want to cry so badly! There goes the end of my reading of Naruto, Bleach and Skip Beat! It all boils down to greed and money!! the publishers blamed scanlation grooup for depriving them million of dollars. Well listen up, I WON'T buy the damn manga anyway for long series like Naruto and Bleach. So even without the scanlations, you wont earn an extra penny and even worse, now I wont even buy the collectibles since I cannot read them anymore. Plus, where on earth do they expect me to keep all the books? I wish there is a manga collection in the library where people can loan the mangas! Guess I have to turn to those manga stores to borrow those comics now... such a bloody hassle since all the stores here only stock mandarin versions!
Why scanalations are forced to stop
An international coalition of Japanese and American-based manga publishers have joined together to combat what they call the “rampant and growing problem” of scanlations, the practice of posting scanned and translated editions of Japanese comics online without permission of the copyright holders. The group is threatening legal action against 30 scanlation sites.
The effort brings together the 36 member Japanese Digital Comic Association—which includes such major Japanese houses as Kodansha, Shogakukan and Shueisha—as well as manga publisher Square Enix, the Tuttle-Mori Agency and U.S.-based manga publishers Vertical Inc, Viz Media, Tokyopop and Yen Press, the manga/graphic novel imprint of the Hachette Book Group.
A spokesperson for the coalition said the effort shows that Japanese publishers—who license the majority of manga sold in the U.S.—are taking an aggressive interest in combating manga piracy outside of Japan as well as inside the country. The group charges that the former fan-driven practice of scanlating—begun in the 1970s to scan, translate and post manga online when it was difficult to find manga outside of Japan—has been transformed by “scanlation aggregators,” heavily trafficked, for-profit Web sites that host thousands of pirated manga editions and offer them for free to readers.
According to a spokesperson, these sites are among the most heavily trafficked sites on the web attracting millions of visits each month while earning advertising revenues and even soliciting donations and sometimes charging for memberships. The group also charges that pirated manga is now beginning to turn up on smartphones and other wireless devices through the use of apps developed “solely to link to and republish the content of scanlations sites.”
A spokesperson said that “we are left with no other alternative but to take aggressive action. It is our sincere hope that offending sites will take it upon themselves to immediately cease their activities. Where this is not the case, however, we will seek injunctive relief and statutory damages.” The group is also aggressively reporting violations to the “federal authorities, including the anti-piracy units of the Justice Department, local law enforcement agencies and FBI.” While the group has yet to file any lawsuits and has declined to name specific scanlators, sites such as MangaFox and OneManga have long been identified as major scanlation aggregators.
After several years of booming manga sales in the U.S. that drove the popularity of comics and graphic novels in the traditional book market, sales of manga in the U.S. have declined more than 30% from a high of $210 million in 2007 to $140 million in sales in 2009, according to pop culture news site ICv2.com. Many manga publishers and retailers who used to believe that scanlations actually attracted new readers, now blame the sales decline on the rise of giant for-profit scanlation sites that have allowed a new generation of fans to grow up reading manga for free online.
“Go back 2 years and track these sites and you’ll find an inverse relationship between the rise of traffic on these scanlation sites and the decline in U.S. manga sales,” said Kurt Hassler, publishing director of Yen Press and a former graphic novel and manga buyer for Borders Books and Music. Hassler points out that early fan-driven scanlation sites were aimed at making manga available overseas at a time when English translations of manga were rare. Indeed these fan scanlators would remove their online translations when the books were licensed for the English-language market.
That’s no longer the case, said Hassler. “These sites are run as businesses and include direct scans of licensed English-language manga editions. Some even include our copyright notices. We don’t want to have to do this but publishers are now focused on this problem.”

J-Drama: Natsu no Koi wa Nijiiro ni Kagayaku
Just finished watching Natsu no Koi wa Nijiiro ni Kagayaku (夏の恋は虹色に輝), starring Arashi's Jun. Frankly, canx say I am impressed nor intrigued with the first episode. It's a little weak and boring, with little to captue my imagination.
The story revolves around Jun's character trying to be an actor but failing due to his stiffness before the camera. However, rather than self reflect, he seem to be pushing to blame on his famous actor father who died in ep 1. I suppose it will be the female lead who will help him to find his grounding and find his direction. She told him that his father's love is like the rainbow after the rain, shining on him always. So he should stop being so self absorbed and blamed his failure on his dad's fame.
I wasnt drawn to the female lead, and personally, Jun is still a little weak in acting dramas outside the comedy or manga genre. I will prob get hatemails from fan but I still have to put it out there, Jun still lacks the depth of a serious actor... I dun dislike him but I often find it hard to be drawn into his character. Even in Bambino where he was playing a role of an aspiring chef, while I like him there, it was more like I like his supporting cast more to hold my attention.
So I guess this may be one drama I may or may not tune in regularly, depending on my time. All I can say, I am not hopeful...

Typhoon Season: The first black rain in HK
Was out in causeway bay in the afternoon. Didnt know what was the thunderstorm signal.
Since I needed to rush back to cook, I didnt have a choice but to stand in the almost horizontal rain lashing at me while waiting for the cab outside Times Square.
It was a long agonising wait. I didnt realise that the rain warning changed from Amber to Black within 10mins while I was in the Q! I thought the rain felt really bad, and I almost had half the mind to get out of the line but sicne I was so close to the front after waiting for 40mins, I didnt feel like giving up.
At exactly 5.30pm, I looked at my watch. It wasnt later at night watching the news that I learnt the warning signal had changed from amber to black at that moment.
While I was waiting and it reached my turn to be at the front, it was already 5.54pm.
10 mins have passed since the last cab. A heavily pregnant woman with a little girl in tow went up to the front and asked the taxi stand warden if she could cut the line.The guy asked her to seek my permission since I was first in line.
She called out to me and explained she is pregnant and had a child, so if I mind letting her go first?
I had a 30secs conflict. I have been in the line for 40mins, and each cab takes every 10mins to come in this rain. If I let her go first, that may mean another 20mins wait!
The evil devil in me was thinking that if she is in such a hurry, then she should just call for a cab.
However, the angelic side of me won the battle and I nodded agreeing to let her go first.
As the man behind me glared at my decision, I had a 2 secs self doubt if I was being stupid but then, I shook the feeling out because I figure since Iam already half drenched in the rain, another 20mins wont kill me since there is no lightning and thunder.Luckily i was in flip flops and shorts, so it had just felt like I was in a tropical rain shower. It didnt feel too bad honestly.
The next cab came in next 5 mins. Perhaps good deed deserves a good turn. My luck changed for the better because 2 cabs came together which was rare. So I got into the cab the same time as the pregnant lady with her child. I didnt "lose" any time afterall. However, the man behind me gave me that glare because he prob was thinking he would have been on the cab if it wasnt for me letting the woman board first.
Oh well...
During the whole time, the person who suffer most is probably the guy stationed at the taxi stand, controlling the taxi Q and offering shelter to the passengers who board the cab. What a tough job!

Hotaru no Hikari Episode 3 Review and recap
I love this episode! What is not to love? Esp the scene when Buchou was confessing his love to a hidden Hotaru. Totally split my sides!
Because some of the humour will be lost if I do not blog the conversations, this is officially the longest recap summary I have done in ages! I think its prob still alittle lost in translation but hopefully u will enjoy the joke as much as I did!

Hotaru no Hikari 2 Ep 3 [ Having no Patience and Cannot get Married!] Summary
Hotaru was leaving work and as she saw buchou leaving, she rushed out towards the lift as well. However, when she overheard Seno and Buchou;s conversation, she was disappointed as Buchou indicated he had a night meeting to attend. Poor downcast Hotaru mumbled to herself "What about dinner then..."
Seno then added that she had even packed home a pack for the person she is staying with, someone called Tana...Buchou was a little taken back and Hotaru desperately tried to hush Seno but he went on describing that the person seemed to talk too much! Hotaru was horrified at the revelation and tried to nudged Seno into silence..so the to and fro nudging began as Buchou gave Hotaru a sort of squinting stare and quietly looked on at the 2 "kids".
At home, Hotaru was munching on her snack for dinner and her ears pricked when she heard the word "getting married" from the TV. It was a pre wedding teaching, instilling the value of 我慢 - "tolerance/ patience" in a relationship and how tolerance level in modern days are shrinking. As Hotaru was laughing away happily on TV about a joke sensei was cracking (making ref to closing half an eye after marriage and joking about stuffing the ear and eyes and nose etc), the sensei on TV then mentioned to the audience "to the girl who is laughing happily and clapping her hand" but Hotaru somehow mistaken it was directed to her and she got absorbed esp when sensei said a person who has no tolerance cannot get married! Hotaru was determined to practice "Tolerance" with her relationship with Buchou! Just then, Buchou called and a happy Hotaru was visibily downcast when she realise his invitation to dinner wasnt just a date, but that Natsu was with him as well. However as she glanced up to see the pinned word, she smiled and said she will be there.
After Buchou hung up, he told Natsu that she didnt have to go thru all the effort and that its no big deal if just the two of them have dinner since they have nothing to hide. However she said that no matter, Hotaru would be sad if she knew and wonder if Hotaru liked Okinawa food? At that, Buchou suddenly was alerted as he knew Hotaru so well and quickly dialed his hp telling her "We are just eating Okinawa, you dun have to dress up as one!" (LOL)
During dinner, Hotaru asked after Natsu's daughter and was told she is at her granny place. Natsu shared that the retail space she had set her eyes on had been rented out and Buchou immediately volunteered to help talk to real estate as they will only bully her seeing her as a single woman. Natsu then shared her daughter has been very patient with all these transition. Hotaru;s ears pricked at the word "Tolerance" and immediately agreed that they must both work hard at practicing that value to a surprised Natsu who agreed. The food came and it was typical stirfried Okinawa bitter gourd dish. Hotaru claimed she loved it and they ended up home with a big bag!
Buchou sitting at a distance told Hotaru to bring the gourds far far away from him as he absolutely hates it! Hoatru asked in surprised didnt he sound like he like it? He replied that he seriously hate it but didnt Hotaru like it? She said she only ate alot because she thot HE had liked it. So they both happily dumped the bag of gourds away!
The next morning, Hotaru greeted Buchou and a shocked Buchou immediately showed her a mirror, Hotaru had broken out in hives/ nettle rash!
In office as Buchou discussed about Hotaru's sudden outbreak with his other 2 friends/colleagues.
"Due to emotional stress?" Sachiko asked
"It's like she is siffering from some emotional burden resulting in the outbreak" Buchou replied
"But Hotaru is not the sort to be burden by work stress,she will always let loose at home isnt it?" Sachiko queried.
"If its not work, Then it has to be private life" Shouji shared.
"Did you suffer from the outbreak before?" Sachiko quizzed.
Shouji then shared his experience with an indignant Sachiko.
"Like when I wanted to spend all the time with u, but considering the last train so I had to tear myself away and deny myself." Shouji confided. As Sachiko listened on happily, Buchou went "Ahem" bringin their attention back to him.
"So maybe this is what is happening to Hotaru" Sachiko quipped.
"Are you being nice to her? Like Giving her a kiss before you leave and bed?" Shouji asked
Buchou paused and shared that none of the above has happened.
Sachiko was still happily nodding her head when realisation hit her! Both Shouji and her went in shock "NOT YET?!" Buchou explained they have a very healthy relationship. The two went "AEHHHH!!!" in shock and stared at each other in utter disbelief! Can you repeat? Shouji asked again.
"We both have a healthy relationship." As the other two went Aehhhh in shock, Buchou continued to explain he had to reach 40yrs to truly understand platonic love, and that he is convinced to tread the road of pure love (non intimacy) before marriage.
"Are you a fool?!!!" Shouji exclaimed
"It's totally not healthy!! How is that healthy?! That is unhealthy! A couple in love under the same roof and to think never have kissed!!!, " Sachiko added in exasperation...Shouji concluded that must be what was stressing Hotaru and Sachiko agreed. Sachiko added Hotaru doesnt really know about love and wont dare to ask for a kiss, so that was what she has been tolerating!!! She must be thinking about it persistently! Shouji advised Buchou to at least give her a goodnite kiss which led to Buchou recalling the previous nite where Hotaru looked a little sad when he had said goodnite.
At home, Hotaru was tying to convince herself to be patience when Buchou returned. As she dashed out to greet him, a concerned Buchou was surprised that she was not in bed and asked if she was better, and to let him take a look. He was relieved the medication seem to have worked and its looking better. He asked her if she knew the root source of her stress? "Did you guess what it was? Are you tolerating something?" Buchou asked with concern. Hotaru kept quiet and as Buchou thought about what Sachiko had said, he muttered"so it's like that?"
"Ahomiya, what is it that you are suppressing and tolerating?" Buchou asked again with concern but Hotaru said she canx say it. "Why? why canx you say it?" Buchou asked. As Hotaru hesitated "because because..," Buchou said "I understand, close you eyes." Just as Buchou was gonna kiss her, Hotaru started figeting and then broke into a twitch yelling its too itchy and she canx scratch it! She started rolling about as Buchou looked on helplessly.
The next day, Shouji was shocked that Buchou hasnt kissed Hotaru! He took a swipe at Buchou that even a high school kid could have settled that easily and if there is something wrong with Buchou! "Me?" Buchou asked and Shouji san said "yeah, as a man, you are withered!" and started the chanting pray for the "dead". (LOL)
As Buchou was showing Natsu the new place, she ranted that he didn have to be so nice to her and she wanted to be strong/independent on her own. She blurted that she is no longer the little young girl he used to date. Then she apologised and looked at the floor plan, leaving Buchou to his thoughts that indeed kissing was easy when he was young then and he could do anything but now...."No wait, it can be done!" He said to himself.Natsu asked what he was thinking and he excused himself.
Hotaru rushd back to office for Seno to pass some doc to Seno. Seno remarked he could have just got the keys from her place but she said it was fine since she was free. Just then Buchou called and he asked is that seno? Just then the little girl yelled "papa" and then she realised he was with Natsu again at the resturant. Her itch started again and she finally blurted "Do you want me to keep putting up with this?" Buchou realised something was amissed.
"It's fine for me by myself." As she was itching badly, she just hung up in a huff to a surprised Buchou. Seno meanwhile asked who was that and realised it was the person living with her. He asked if its a man or woman and she said guy. "I have had enough. I canx put up with it anymore!" she said
"I, I am returning." Hotaru said to a surprised Seno. As she ran back itching, she kep saying she cannot tolerate it anymore! At diner, Buchou shared the conversation with Natsu and she hurried him home despite the kid's plea. She advised him to hug her even if he is no good for words. After he departed, the girl said her mum looked lonely but she said she is fine. Buchou tried to call Hotaru but her line was off.
At home, Hotaru angrily chopped the bittergourd and complained "How dare they go back to the place, the 3of them! I have had enough!!" Apparently she had been putting it up with NOT eating bittergourd she really liked! Just as she was happily munching, Buchou came home. Afriad of him discovering since he hates it, she hid in the garden!
Buchou spotted her lonely figure back facing him. As he poured his heart to a Hotaru squatting at a dark corner in the garden, munching away in silence unknown to Buchou!!! There he was, pouring his heart out and confided of his feelings, his inadequacies of expressing himself, and then blurted he likes her, really likes her. Hotaru started choking but Buchou thought she was so touched that sher was crying!! A very very touched Buchou dashed out wanting to hug her, only to discover her munching away!!!! She confessed that she had been suppressing her desire to eat bittergourd all these while to an infuritaed Buchou! (LOL!)
In the kitchen, the two started fighting over bittergourd. Buchou told her to eat the bittergourd far far away from him but she said since he loves her, shouldnt he try to eat it? He refused and in a fit of anger, Hotaru packed and left home heading to Sachiko's place. Sachiko and Shouji tried to comfort her. Hotaru discovered in the process that even Sachiko has moments where she has to compromise to Shouji, doing things she doesnt like or find ridiculous. Sachiko comforted Hotaru.
Cooling down and thinking thru, Hotaru said she will try again harder, and that she wont eat bittergourd as she really really want to be with Buchou forever!
In office, Sachiko said Hotaru will be staying at her place and someone needs to think thru things properly alone. To celebrate Hotaru's return, the group suggested going to Buchou's friends place but Buchou overheard Hotatru rejecting as she cannot eat bittergourd. The group sent a picture to Hotaru with bittergrourd and she was in agony...Even as she sleep, she dreamt about bitter gourd....the two wondered what will buchou do?
At home, Buchou cooked the bittergourd and tried to eat it but he simply couldnt...and spat out the food. Just then Shouji appeared and shouji said he ha has come to help buchou and has brought some recipes that he think Buchou can stomach. While Hotaru was suffering, she received an sms inviting her to go bowling, Sachiko encouraged her to go to get her mind off bittergourd. As such Hotaru was revived and turned up for the bowling!
At the bowling center, Hotaru keep thinking about the bitter gourd and played badly. At home, Buchou was still struggling with the taste of bittergourd. Seno said she is unwell and thus not playing well and should give up, but hotaru muttered she must overcome it or she cannot get married. "I want to try hard." Seno agreed but asked what has bowling got to do with getting married and that she is sprouting weird stuff again. Hotaru kept trying repeatedly but failed.
Seno tried to encourage Hotaru saying that "you still have got married right?" That spurred Hotaru on for the final round.She succeeded!!! Seno was also happy for her! As seno gave her a towel as encouragement, the junior who likes seno muttered she will also not lose to Hotaru.
At home, Hotaru still wonder aloud if she can handle not eating bittergourd. Sachiko told her its time for her go home. On way, she saw Buchou waiting for her. He had come to get her! Hotaru said but she hasnt been able to kick eating bittergourd but Buchou said the dinner menu was curry bittergourd! She was so happy! and shocked that he can eat it now. "it;'s all because for me?!" Buchou insisted it was for her outbreak and apologised for getting angry over such a small mater. Hotaru said they can finally "go there"! and revealed they can now kissed! As she happily joked about it going "chu chu chu!", Buchou said he will kiss her for real and as he was going in for it, the hospital called. Apparently she has the rash because of the cat fleas!!!!
At home, Buchou and her found the root cause -the open window and uncovered bed! So it's like this and nothing to do with bittergourd. But hotaru said but at least he can eat it now. Buchou smiled and said "NOT! you flea woman!"
Seno was with the junior girl. he shared the news about Hotaru getting married. The girl said he must be disappointed and suggested to check out the guy she is living with. Seno saw the name and wondered aloud. As the two sat back at home, they were horrified when Seno and the girl knocked at their door!!!!

Hotaru was leaving work and as she saw buchou leaving, she rushed out towards the lift as well. However, when she overheard Seno and Buchou;s conversation, she was disappointed as Buchou indicated he had a night meeting to attend. Poor downcast Hotaru mumbled to herself "What about dinner then..."
In the lift, Seno told Buchou that he had treated Hotaru to Iberico pork the other day. Buchou listened on politely with a smile.
At home, Hotaru was munching on her snack for dinner and her ears pricked when she heard the word "getting married" from the TV. It was a pre wedding teaching, instilling the value of 我慢 - "tolerance/ patience" in a relationship and how tolerance level in modern days are shrinking. As Hotaru was laughing away happily on TV about a joke sensei was cracking (making ref to closing half an eye after marriage and joking about stuffing the ear and eyes and nose etc), the sensei on TV then mentioned to the audience "to the girl who is laughing happily and clapping her hand" but Hotaru somehow mistaken it was directed to her and she got absorbed esp when sensei said a person who has no tolerance cannot get married! Hotaru was determined to practice "Tolerance" with her relationship with Buchou! Just then, Buchou called and a happy Hotaru was visibily downcast when she realise his invitation to dinner wasnt just a date, but that Natsu was with him as well. However as she glanced up to see the pinned word, she smiled and said she will be there.
After Buchou hung up, he told Natsu that she didnt have to go thru all the effort and that its no big deal if just the two of them have dinner since they have nothing to hide. However she said that no matter, Hotaru would be sad if she knew and wonder if Hotaru liked Okinawa food? At that, Buchou suddenly was alerted as he knew Hotaru so well and quickly dialed his hp telling her "We are just eating Okinawa, you dun have to dress up as one!" (LOL)
During dinner, Hotaru asked after Natsu's daughter and was told she is at her granny place. Natsu shared that the retail space she had set her eyes on had been rented out and Buchou immediately volunteered to help talk to real estate as they will only bully her seeing her as a single woman. Natsu then shared her daughter has been very patient with all these transition. Hotaru;s ears pricked at the word "Tolerance" and immediately agreed that they must both work hard at practicing that value to a surprised Natsu who agreed. The food came and it was typical stirfried Okinawa bitter gourd dish. Hotaru claimed she loved it and they ended up home with a big bag!
Buchou sitting at a distance told Hotaru to bring the gourds far far away from him as he absolutely hates it! Hoatru asked in surprised didnt he sound like he like it? He replied that he seriously hate it but didnt Hotaru like it? She said she only ate alot because she thot HE had liked it. So they both happily dumped the bag of gourds away!
In office as Buchou discussed about Hotaru's sudden outbreak with his other 2 friends/colleagues.
"Due to emotional stress?" Sachiko asked
"It's like she is siffering from some emotional burden resulting in the outbreak" Buchou replied
"But Hotaru is not the sort to be burden by work stress,she will always let loose at home isnt it?" Sachiko queried.
"If its not work, Then it has to be private life" Shouji shared.
"Did you suffer from the outbreak before?" Sachiko quizzed.
Shouji then shared his experience with an indignant Sachiko.
"Like when I wanted to spend all the time with u, but considering the last train so I had to tear myself away and deny myself." Shouji confided. As Sachiko listened on happily, Buchou went "Ahem" bringin their attention back to him.
"So maybe this is what is happening to Hotaru" Sachiko quipped.
"Are you being nice to her? Like Giving her a kiss before you leave and bed?" Shouji asked
Buchou paused and shared that none of the above has happened.
Sachiko was still happily nodding her head when realisation hit her! Both Shouji and her went in shock "NOT YET?!" Buchou explained they have a very healthy relationship. The two went "AEHHHH!!!" in shock and stared at each other in utter disbelief! Can you repeat? Shouji asked again.
"We both have a healthy relationship." As the other two went Aehhhh in shock, Buchou continued to explain he had to reach 40yrs to truly understand platonic love, and that he is convinced to tread the road of pure love (non intimacy) before marriage.
"Are you a fool?!!!" Shouji exclaimed
"It's totally not healthy!! How is that healthy?! That is unhealthy! A couple in love under the same roof and to think never have kissed!!!, " Sachiko added in exasperation...Shouji concluded that must be what was stressing Hotaru and Sachiko agreed. Sachiko added Hotaru doesnt really know about love and wont dare to ask for a kiss, so that was what she has been tolerating!!! She must be thinking about it persistently! Shouji advised Buchou to at least give her a goodnite kiss which led to Buchou recalling the previous nite where Hotaru looked a little sad when he had said goodnite.
At home, Hotaru was tying to convince herself to be patience when Buchou returned. As she dashed out to greet him, a concerned Buchou was surprised that she was not in bed and asked if she was better, and to let him take a look. He was relieved the medication seem to have worked and its looking better. He asked her if she knew the root source of her stress? "Did you guess what it was? Are you tolerating something?" Buchou asked with concern. Hotaru kept quiet and as Buchou thought about what Sachiko had said, he muttered"so it's like that?"
"Ahomiya, what is it that you are suppressing and tolerating?" Buchou asked again with concern but Hotaru said she canx say it. "Why? why canx you say it?" Buchou asked. As Hotaru hesitated "because because..," Buchou said "I understand, close you eyes." Just as Buchou was gonna kiss her, Hotaru started figeting and then broke into a twitch yelling its too itchy and she canx scratch it! She started rolling about as Buchou looked on helplessly.
The next day, Shouji was shocked that Buchou hasnt kissed Hotaru! He took a swipe at Buchou that even a high school kid could have settled that easily and if there is something wrong with Buchou! "Me?" Buchou asked and Shouji san said "yeah, as a man, you are withered!" and started the chanting pray for the "dead". (LOL)
As Buchou was showing Natsu the new place, she ranted that he didn have to be so nice to her and she wanted to be strong/independent on her own. She blurted that she is no longer the little young girl he used to date. Then she apologised and looked at the floor plan, leaving Buchou to his thoughts that indeed kissing was easy when he was young then and he could do anything but now...."No wait, it can be done!" He said to himself.Natsu asked what he was thinking and he excused himself.
Hotaru rushd back to office for Seno to pass some doc to Seno. Seno remarked he could have just got the keys from her place but she said it was fine since she was free. Just then Buchou called and he asked is that seno? Just then the little girl yelled "papa" and then she realised he was with Natsu again at the resturant. Her itch started again and she finally blurted "Do you want me to keep putting up with this?" Buchou realised something was amissed.
"I, I am returning." Hotaru said to a surprised Seno. As she ran back itching, she kep saying she cannot tolerate it anymore! At diner, Buchou shared the conversation with Natsu and she hurried him home despite the kid's plea. She advised him to hug her even if he is no good for words. After he departed, the girl said her mum looked lonely but she said she is fine. Buchou tried to call Hotaru but her line was off.
At home, Hotaru angrily chopped the bittergourd and complained "How dare they go back to the place, the 3of them! I have had enough!!" Apparently she had been putting it up with NOT eating bittergourd she really liked! Just as she was happily munching, Buchou came home. Afriad of him discovering since he hates it, she hid in the garden!
Buchou spotted her lonely figure back facing him. As he poured his heart to a Hotaru squatting at a dark corner in the garden, munching away in silence unknown to Buchou!!! There he was, pouring his heart out and confided of his feelings, his inadequacies of expressing himself, and then blurted he likes her, really likes her. Hotaru started choking but Buchou thought she was so touched that sher was crying!! A very very touched Buchou dashed out wanting to hug her, only to discover her munching away!!!! She confessed that she had been suppressing her desire to eat bittergourd all these while to an infuritaed Buchou! (LOL!)
In the kitchen, the two started fighting over bittergourd. Buchou told her to eat the bittergourd far far away from him but she said since he loves her, shouldnt he try to eat it? He refused and in a fit of anger, Hotaru packed and left home heading to Sachiko's place. Sachiko and Shouji tried to comfort her. Hotaru discovered in the process that even Sachiko has moments where she has to compromise to Shouji, doing things she doesnt like or find ridiculous. Sachiko comforted Hotaru.
Cooling down and thinking thru, Hotaru said she will try again harder, and that she wont eat bittergourd as she really really want to be with Buchou forever!
In office, Sachiko said Hotaru will be staying at her place and someone needs to think thru things properly alone. To celebrate Hotaru's return, the group suggested going to Buchou's friends place but Buchou overheard Hotatru rejecting as she cannot eat bittergourd. The group sent a picture to Hotaru with bittergrourd and she was in agony...Even as she sleep, she dreamt about bitter gourd....the two wondered what will buchou do?
At home, Buchou cooked the bittergourd and tried to eat it but he simply couldnt...and spat out the food. Just then Shouji appeared and shouji said he ha has come to help buchou and has brought some recipes that he think Buchou can stomach. While Hotaru was suffering, she received an sms inviting her to go bowling, Sachiko encouraged her to go to get her mind off bittergourd. As such Hotaru was revived and turned up for the bowling!
At the bowling center, Hotaru keep thinking about the bitter gourd and played badly. At home, Buchou was still struggling with the taste of bittergourd. Seno said she is unwell and thus not playing well and should give up, but hotaru muttered she must overcome it or she cannot get married. "I want to try hard." Seno agreed but asked what has bowling got to do with getting married and that she is sprouting weird stuff again. Hotaru kept trying repeatedly but failed.

Coffee House Episode 16 Recap
This is a relatively good episode for me.
The start was funny with the secretary and JS struggling for her bag! JS then called her but she didnt dare to answer the phone as she was still embarrased about her "kiss" incident and making JS fall with the bag struggle. She told her brother to pick up the phone and take the message. Her brother exposed her lie by asking "Sis where is the pen?" JS laughed and then continued that she must bring along her ID, and a contract to give up all rights to the body!
When she arrived at JS place, he was not in. Just then, her button fell out and she went to the toilet to swe the button back. However JS came back from the jog and by accident saw her naked in the bathroom. Both screamed in agony and embarrassement!
JS was bemoaning about how the fake relationship had caused him such "bodily grieve" - being forcibly kissed 6 times on the lips, and now exposing his eyes to "unclean" vision and causing it to hurt! She pout as she listen on to his taunting...then she told JS that she couldnt agree to the last contract, and that she felt it was alittle overboard that she even have to give up her body and she cannot do it!
JS looked at her in disbelief and explained that she had misunderstand the contract agreement he wanted her to sign. He had no intention of wanting her body and do anything to it, rather he wants her to give up all rights towards any contact with HIS body! He had wanted "insurance" from her that the previous episode will not happen again! Realising her mistaken assumption, she grudgingly agree to sign the "contract". JS then told her that he liked one of her novel concept in her novel and offered to buy the idea from her. However she rejected it. He upped the offer by 5times, stating that she would not be able to use the material and publish a book until she is over 40 whereas he can use it and produce a book the following year. She thought about it but still rejected it. JS persisted and told her he will even offer a billion won for it. However she still rejected it as she said it was her first idea and she wont part with it. JS left her with to it.
The story focuses on the senior JW confirming his worst fears that writer JS had truly returned to Seoul to propose to EY. During his birthday dinner, he pulled JS aside privately and mentioned about learning the truth of the proposal ring at the jewellery store. JS face fell as he knew what was coming, JW asked if EY knew about JS's fake relationship and the reason for his return. To spare JW's unease, JS shook his head and lied that EY doesn't seem to know anything. JW confided that he is very happy and bliss now. Previously, in their previous engagement, EY and JW had quarrelled about everything. Yet this time round, they have retreated to a comfortable understanding and everything is smooth. As such, JW asked if JS can leave korea, and that he doesnt need to stay for the wedding even though JW had invited him prior knowing the truth. JS obliged and said that he will leave the next day.
When JS returned to the party room,JS accidentally found out from the secretary's mobile texts that it was her birthday. At that moment, he was asked to say a few words. JS solemnly said that it was a beautiful night, a night for someone to protect what they cherish most. Then he turned to EY and said quietly, "be happy and bliss." With that he stepped out of teh room. EY looked at him and departure in surprise. JW looked visibly uncomfortable.
When the party ended, Ey apologised to the secretary who was waiting for JS, that it was all her fault. It was then that the secretary realised that EY knew about the fake relationship all along! She muttered to herself what was the point in the pretense as such? As she held out hope for JS to appear, she turn down the hotel offer to call a cab. She finally saw JS's car and he apologised for being late and sent her home.
At home, she found the present pen that JS has gotten her and snuck into her pocket. She happily called JS to thank him and he started to off saying that she should never disgrace the writer's community. As he pour further encouragement to her to retain her positive and innocent outlook, and to retain that persistence to protect her ideas. He also told her that he was sorry that the whole thing has to end so soon and suddenly and that he will make it up to her with other things about missing the programmes. The secretary realised something was amiss and got worried.
She persuaded him not to just leave, and that she doesnt want any other compensation. She just want him to fulfil his promise to do the programme and he cannot just run away again like 2 years ago. He tried to explain but she wont have it. She continued that while she may not know what was the reason for his return, but he must have also wanted something,and to protect something. She went on that the reason why she wants him not to leave wasnt solely to just protect the programme, but rather, the reason why she had rem and took heart everything he said all these years was because she respected him tremendously. Hence she wanted to protect and cherish this sense of high regards she holds for him all these years and that he should fulfil the promise and the trust placed in him. JS was visibly emotionally affected and touched by what he heard but he still hung up without a word.
On the day of programme, everyone was fretting about the disappearance of JS. EY heard from her staff that JS has shifted out over the weekend and received the news in shock. She called the secretary and apologised saying that its all because of what she had told JS, to not complicate things and leave. The secretary however did not give up hope and insisted that she hold a gut feel that JS will appear for the radio show. EY hung up the phone and cried.
At the station, while the secretary believed in JS, everyone else was complaining and blaming her for her blind faith, and fret about other options to fill in the slot. As they all headed in for emergency meeting, she turned and saw an approaching figure, it was JS!
JW received a call from JS. JW laughed and said JS didnt have to disappear without a trace and where is he now? JS replied he was in Seoul. JW's face changed. JS said to him that he is sorry but he cannot leave Seoul now as he has things he wants to protect. JW queried what was it. JS replied that there are several things, he will protect them one thing at a time.

Coffee House Ep 15
Ep 15 isnt extraordinary. There are some laughing bits but there isnt a high nor low point.
The funniest part for me was when the senior dragged JS to EY's house to look for the misplaced wedding ring. JS relunctantly got dragged into the house. The senior had to leave for a meeting and asked JS to stay put to hunt for the ring. Js's expression as he said no was hilarious! And when the senior askd him if he was cold blooded and JS replied with a straight face "yes"...funny! EY returned home with her in laws and when she realised JS was in the bathroom, she made some excuse and went inside. As EY asked why JS was there, he explained he was there to search for the missing ring. As JS was ready to make "his escape", EY apologised to him.
Basically this episode started with JS continued to lie about his purpose for being back to Seoul as per requested by EY. Both of them continued as if nothing happened.
And towards the end, it set the premise and tone that the senior found out the real reason as to why JS was back in town. When the senior and EY was in a jewellery store, the staff let slip that JS was here recently to buy a proposal ring. The senior initially mistook it to be the one for the secretary. However, he realised something was amissed when the sales girl mentioned that JS had said it was for a friend, a friend for many years... suddenly it hit upon the senior that the ring was meant to be for EY!!!

Summer's Desire Episode 8 Review and Recap, Ep 9 Synopsis
As expected, this episode was kinda crap. The good news is they are finally done with most of the flashback recaps. The story is getting draggy with the love triangle and it's a a childish fight between 3 overgrown kids. The Luoxi is sooo stupid and carrying such a huge emotional baggage that it's almost impossible to believe his tantrums and childishness. I dunno...I cannot stand emotional guys like that, they drive me insane. I would happily dump both guys and get on with mine. Then again, this is a drama...let's see how much more drama-like this drama can go. What a waste...no fight between the 2 lead. Sigh. Summary
The story started with Luoxi's distrust that Xiamo had done some "deal exchange" with Ou Chen. He askd her if she had seen him. Xiamo replied that if what he was concerned about was whether she did any exchange terms and conditions, she did not. She told Luoxi that in entertainment circle, the truth and falsity are so interwined that one often need to feel the truth more than see and hear. Luoxi promised to trust her more.
the next day Luoxi rejected his role for "Zhan Qi" and instead, went to starr in a new flick produced by his own boss/ agency. Ou Chen's company on the other hand annouced that they will produce a new flcik that will cast Xiamo as the lead, as an opposing flick to rival Luoxi's new flick.
Media rumours started to flash headlines that Luoxi and Xiamo had broken up and that she had gone for the richer dude Ou Chen. Luoxi was visibly affected. He felt betrayed and avoided Xiamo's calls. Xiamo went to look for him at his place but he didnt want to open the door. Just when he finally felt like it, Xiamo had already left as she received a text message from her brother asking her to return home immediately. Luoxi misunderstood and muttered that Xiamo comes and goes as she wished.
At home, Xiamo's agent discover xiaoChen was getting feverish but he stopped her from telling Xiamo about his condition.
Meawhile, Ouchen recalld how he got his yacht as a birthday present. It was something he requested for when he was 15yr, because he had wanted his parents's attention and concern. However, he never expected to really got a yacht. The only good thing that came out of it was that little Xiamo had liked it. He had asked little xiamo want her parents gave her for her birthday. She replied that her mum would bake a cake and whole family will go see a movie together. Little Ouchen askd that's it and that he can book the whole cinema down for them? Little xiamo replid that Ouchen missed the point completely and that the idea is spending time together and focus is not about the movie itself. When Ouchen returned to present day, he ordered Simon to go on a mandatory leave for a month to france.
Ever since, Ouchen has been seeing movie all by himself during his birthday. The company tried to organise a movie viewing together with him but it was not appreciated by him as he wanted to be alone.
Meanwhile Xiamo went to the shooting site to find Luoxi. Reporters present asked if they had broken up but Luoxi walked up to Xiamo and kissed her forehead, asking the media if they think those breeak up stories are true? However when they retire to the cabin, Luoxi became cold and unapproachable and sullen. He told Xiamo that he can never trust her again as she had betrayed him. She tried to explain that she really did not make any exchange terms with Ouchen. However, Luoxi said that she had not lied but concealed truth from him. When he had previously asked if she had seen Ou chen, she deflected the question with an answer that says she did not do any barter trade. However, the truth was, she DID see Ouchen. And Luoxi was upset as he reminded her that he had also previously specifically told her under no circumstances that she should see Ouchen about Zhanqi flick, and that she must avoid Ouchen as much as possible or that luoxi will be upset. Luoxi also reminded her that xiamo had previously said there is no love at the bottom of her heart, and that while she claim she had not seen ouchen for him[luoxi], perhaps she had seen ouchen for herself and thus the beefy role in the new movie. She had gone to ouchen for her own materialistic career fame and gains. The conversation came to a halt as Luoxi had to start his shooting
At a club that night, Shenqiao the female lead cast opp luoxi, made her move and tried to declar her undying love for Luoxi. She was infuriated that Luoxi care so much for xiamo when he obviously know that she had been holding a torch for him for ages. She insisted that she had known him first before Xiamo but Luoxi said that the depth of love is independent of how long the couple know each other. Shenqiao disagreed. Then she said she is willing to sacrfice everythign for Luoxi and kissed him forcibly. Luoxi pushed her away and declare she si crazy and that he and xiamo will never part. Shenqiao scream at a departing Luoxi that Xiamo is only making use of him, that she is exploting his stardom to shoot to fame and that he is always the only one helping xiamo and not viceversa. She yelled in desperation that unlike her, Xiamo will never give up her career for him.
At the same moment, Xiaochen fainted and was hospitalised and Xiamo found out about his illness. His kidney was failing and he couldnt last 3 months if there is no transplant. At the same time, his hearing had deterioriated since half a year ago and the doc had suspected he had been hit. Xiamo then recalled about the slap she gave him ha;f year ago when they were arguing about him giving up arts major. Xiamo was racked with remorse.
The papers were on fire the next day abut the kiss. Xiaochen was concerned but xiamo appeared calm and cool and told him not to worry. At the same time, Xiamo's agent asked Ouchen to release Xiamo from the movie committement as she had to care for her brother but Ouchen ignored her request and requested the costumes to continue to be tailored based on Xiamo's size. He then asked people to send him xiaochen;'s medical files and details.
Luoxi boss asked Luoxi if all these were his act of revenge against xiamo? but Luoxi did not give a direct answer instead asking his boss to care for his own health and not worry.
Luoxi continue to mop at home, staring at the mobile. His best friend commented offhandedly that perhaps xiamo is waiting for him to call instead. He tried but xiamo had left the phone behind as she went to help xiaochen with his hearing aid fitting. The doctor then approached xiamo stating that Ouchen is a compatible match for xiaochen's rare blood type.
Xiamo went to Ouchen and said she will agree to any terms and conditions. Ouchen tried to kiss her as a test but she flinched. He questioned her sincerity saying that if she cannot even deal with a kiss, then dont make empty promises about agreeing to everything. She asked if its a kiss and he will donate his kidney. he said maybe. Didnt it occu to her that he may reject her request? She said not. because his name was not in teh donor DB, hence the doctor had not known a match. He must have known about xiaochen case and did a test guessing he is a match, and if he did that, it means he had thought about helping xiaochen. Ouchen replied she is smart and carried on about if she think he will open terms such as sleeping with him, dating him as an exchange? She replied that if he wants her to sleep with him, she will since its a fair deal. Ouchen remarked indeed she is a noble sister and Xiaochen matters most to her but she is wrong. The only reason he wanted her to be there in person was so that he can reject her personally and for her to hear it from him!
Ep 9 Synopsis
Xiamo kneeled down and beg Ouchen to agree to the transplant and even willingly offered her death as a possible exchange. Even though Ouchen's intention was revenge against Xiamo, yet he was unable to witness her death as part of the bargain...and offered her another option instead...
Xiamo declined and tried to look for another compatible doner but alas, Xiaochen collaposed again and was hospitalised.
Luoxi was angry and upset that Xiamo did not show any concern about the tabloid news betwen him and Shenqiao. In fit of anger, he rushed to find Xiamo to confront her but only to witness the scene in the hospital where Xiamo agreed out of desperation to marry Ouchen (as part of the bargain) in the bid to save her brother. As Luoxi departed, once again he reaffirmed the fact that to himself that he will always be abandoned and unable to hold on to happiness....
The media splashed the wedding news of Ouchen and Xiamo and shenqiao pestered Luoxi to forget about Xiamo. Luoxi's manager however advised him to have a chat with Xiamo as there must be some misunderstanding within...

Toy STory 3: A great movie for all ages!
Came back from watching Toy Story 3 today. Awwww....it was such a sweet sweet story with the "prison break" theme! I absolutely love this flick, even more than the second one!
One of the great success was prob a theme that many of us can associate with, the growing up, the parting with our fav childhood playmates/toys.... I was kinda touch towards the end when Andy played with Bonnie and his cherished toys one last time. The way Andy almost didnt want to let Woody go....Oh wow....it was an emotional moment....
Mr Potato had a beefier role this time and I laugh my head off when he become the Mr tortilla potato man! It was so funny! The whole escape plan from the childcare was really cool! It almost has an adult approach but presented in a childlike way.
Buzz light year is by far the way coolest dude in the pack! When he converted to Mr Spanish Buzz had me guffawing so hard! I cannot imagine how they could have possible conceive the whole idea! Incidently Ken was another limelight stealer too!
I have heard raving reviews and films tend to disappoint when I go in with high expecations. However, Toy Story 3 certainly do not disappoint, for both the kid and the adult in all of us. The only bone I have to pick is the super unnecessary 3D version. The movie would have been equally succesful without the 3D, and would have spare me the uncomfortable session of watchin the movie with the ill fitting 3D eyeset, giving me a headache. Apart from that, I love the movie itself! Its a keeper and I canx wait for the DVD!

Hotaru no Hikari 2: Episode 2 『節約したい干物女』Summary and Review
Ep 2 (The dried up woman who wants to save!) still had me laughing away wih the usual banter between Hotaru and Buchou. Basically the episode focus on Buchou being horrified at Hotaru's inability to save money and her futile attempts. (raw video at the end of post)
Hotaru no Hikari 2, Episode 2 Detailed Summary
"You are a 47yen woman. Guess we cannot get married. I cannot marry a woman who cannot save (thrifty person) to manage the household. I definitely cannot." Buchou teased her. Hearing that, Hotaru's immediate reaction was to run back to her room. It was Buchou's turn to happily go "peeow" as he spat out the seed. Hotaru returned to steal the melons from him and an "indignant" Buchou yelled after her "Hey it was with my money used to purchase those melons!Oooi! "
As Hotaru sat in her room and ponder about the word "Setsuyaku (Saving)", she pinned the note onto the wall next to the "Getting Married".
Next morning. Hotaru excitedly greeted Buchou and showed him the homemade bento she made in attempts to save money. Buchou gave a happy smile as she happily showed him the 2 set of bento made for him and her. "From today onwards, I shall be a thrifty beauty!" Hotaru exclaimed happily. Buchou smiled and said "You can exclude the beauty and your efforts are well noted!" Hearing that, Hotaru was cheered and went "Fighting!" and asked Buchou to join in. He replied that he has long been a thrifty good looker but Hotaru said its okay and grabbed his hands anyway to join in the cheer!
At work, Senso was sharing with Hotaru good news about his planning design being selected for consideration for a 20billion renovation project . As Hotaru screamed "20billion?!!" everyone else in the office was abuzz with excitement. The manager hushed them to get back to work and Hotaru exclaimed"yeah that's right, 20billion isnt considered a large project budget to get overly excited" Buchou sitting at the back thought to himself cynically as as he stare at Hotaru" You 47yen woman!"
Seno asked what Hotaru was up to and she explained she was doing a Kid's fair for a business/shop street a budget of 50thousand yen. Seno exclaimed its such a small budget and dont bother to put in so much effort. However Hotaru corrected him that regardless of budget, they should always do their best to do a good job. Seno went "yes yes....stop being so naggy" as he causally sat her down. Just then problem crop up and one of the store called to say they wont take part in the fair due to lack of budget. Hotaru sadly took down the poster as requested. Then an idea hit her and she returned to the manager and said "even if you dont have enough money, I will help to think of something!" Meanwhile in the rest room, Sachiko realised she made a mistake about being pregnant.
Late that night, Hotaru was hard at work making new concept for the kid's fair. Seno was also back to do more work for the 20billion design. Hotaru remarked that the client has decided not to go forth with Kid's fair to a surprised Seno, but she replied its ok and she will continue to try harder. Seno said she is soo strange. She preached about work ethics again and he told he joking to stop her nagging as he gets a headache just talking to her.
Next morning, Hotaru complained bitterly to Buchou to make it ok to wear sports jersey to work as she has run out of work clothes as she has no money to send them to laundry. Buchou calmly told her to do her own laundry and ironing but Hotaru whined that she is sleepy, tired and its a hassle! Buchou called her name and said he rem "someone declaring that some beauty asserted she will work hard at being thrifty to get married" and he pretended to scout the room ard for the person! "Oh yeah! a sheepish hotaru went and Buchou exclaimed she still had the cheek to say that! Buchou snatched her laundry pile and threw it away as he declare it will be 100million years before this poor person should think about using professional laundry! "Go do your laundry!" and she scrambled away....
At work, Hotaru approached Buchou to review about the revised plans for Kid's fair and he frown at the burned patch on her top. He asked when did she come up with it and she explained she stayed up last nite to complete it. Buchou quickly added he will join her to revisit the client. However halfway, he brought her to Boss boutique to get a new top, explaining it is necessary to be presentable regardless who she meet.
She however said she has no money for new clothes since she is a reformed thrifty beauty. Buchou told her to cut the crap and just go find a top! Hotaru cutely looked at the tag and exclaimed "Buchou! There is an additional zero!" Buchou was driven up the wall and told her to just get on with it!
At the store, the owners loved Hotaru's new plan and agreed to go with it, professing that they had thot the company would have just given up when told the clients had no budget, instead he was impressed at how she had revised the plans with customer's situation in mind. then he noticed and commented what an expensive looking top while Buchou looked on smilingly at the back. To his surprise, Hotaru shrugged it off saying its a cheap top. (Haaa haaaa). At that moment, Buchou received a call to say the 20billion project has been aborted.
Hotaru saw seno was depressed though he pretended to shrug it off as nothing. Hotaru followed him out with her usual preaching and Seno turned to tell her to quit bugging him with the same crap lecture, but Hotaru interrupted that after a day's hard work, the beer tastes the best and whipped out a can to him, saying "you have worked very hard and so this beer will sure taste good!"
At home, Buchou remarked about the mess and spotted his "missing" beer and the specially imported foodstuff being eaten by Hotaru! he asked where is the thrify beauty and she remarked she had taken a holiday! He offered to help but she declined and told him to retire early for his morning appointment.He reminded her to turn off the lights and she said ok. However when Buchou come out to inspect, he saw her asleep with all the electrical lights on. He covered her and went to close her open mouth and smiled while looking on at her lovingly, before turning off the lights.
As she completed the kid's fair work at home, she heard a kid at the door. The kid asked who she is and Hotaru was stunned. The woman rushed in after her daughter and Hotaru didnt know how to explain her presence but the woman said she knew Hotaru is living there and has heard alot about her. She was only here to return the phone Buchou loan her. As hotaru desperately tried to put the mess away, the kid exclaimed it sure was messy and if her daddy wasnt home? Hotaru paused in surprise but the woman said he isnt her real dad. The real dad passed away 3 years ago in an accident. The woman explained she wanted to set up a shop and had made enquires with Buchou.
The woman then gave Hotaru some homemade foodstuff. Hotaru asked isnt she tired after a day's work to make all these? But the woman replied its much cheaper than to buy. "Saving! She is a classic thrify beauty!" Hotaru thought to herself as she stared at the woman. While leaving, she asked Hotaru isnt she getting married since she had heard Buchou wanting to live with her always. A thoughtful Hotaru ate the snack and exclaimed it was delicious!
The kid said she missed "papa" but the mum said she wont see him anymore. The kid asked why? She didnt replied. Meanwhile, Hotaru pondered upon the conversation she had with Buchou.
That nite, Buchou casually mentioned about the woman having called him about their visit but all Hotaru took in was that he addressed the woman in non formally but called hotaru in her full name. "Why do you call me Amemiya? (full name)" "because you are amemiya!" "but 3 years ago, you only address me by my nickname!" Hotaru said. "Nickname?" "Yes,, Ahomiya" "Yes but you were an aho (simpleton/idiot) back then!" Buchou replied. "So I am not an idiot anymore?" She asked. "Didnt you say you are already a cool OL? Didnt you grow up alot?" However Hotaru wasnt pleased at all....Hotaru then commented about the stars, and about there was a very small star but tried its very best to sparkle. Buchou not realising Hotaru's mood replied scientifcally that the star prob has exploded and disappeared by now.
Hotaru cried out "Buchou!!!" He was shocked at her reaction and asked what happened! "That little star is ME!" That star is you? Buchou asked in shock."I dont want to disappear! even though its small and weak but I too want to try my best to glow brightly, by Buchou's side, to glow bright;y!!! But it looks impossible... Iw ill surely disappear. I will never be associated as the classic thrify beauty." Hotaru confided sadly...
"Didnt the thrifty beauty go on a holiday?" He explained that he completely understand that she cannot fulfil her "promise" now as she is overrun by work, and that he understand her completely. Hotaru looked up at Buchou hopefully. Buchou offered her a can of beer to a despondent Hotaru, and she looked at him mingled with feelings but then suddenly she sprouted what is "Iberico Buta(pork)" Buchou excitedly explained it was a spain pork and how delicious it is...and that its very expensive. Hotaru exclaimed in excitement and Buchou asked what, but she smiled to herself without a word. She rem the prize to the kid's fair was Iberico pork!
At the fair, Seno joked she should join in the kid's race and she nodded. A surprised seno said he is joking, but Hotaru was just consumed with winnin the pork. The kid appeared saying that Buchou had brought her to the fair as her mum was busy with the store. Word spread that Hotaru was joining the race. Buchou learnt about the prize Iberico and gestured to Hotaru if she was in the race for it and she nodded. As she sped on thinking about the money saved for dinner and how Buchou loved the Iberico, she tried with all her might to win.
However, the little girl fell and Hotaru turned back to help her, carrying her to finish the race while Buchou looked on with relief as they crossed the line! Hotaru saw the boy winning the Iberico and fell flat to her face, Buchou wanted to rush to her but Seno beat him to her, trying to help her but she fainted while mumbling Iberico buta.... A concerned Buchou looked on from a distance.
A surprised Hotaru turned and asked what did he say?! Buchou replied for her to still compete with kids at her age, just for Iberico, it sure was idiotic! Buchou then turned ard and said gently "Goodnight, Ahomiya!" She was sooo overwhelmed with happiness that she imagined it to be Iberico meal! Buchou interrupted saying its just plain rice but she explained because he prepared it, so it tasted as good like an Iberico meal! Just then, Buchou remembered she had drew something and demanded what was on his beautiful looking face. She replied cheerily "A pig!" as Buchou yelled "Ahomiya!"

Hotaru no Hikari 2, Episode 2 Detailed Summary
The episode started off with a jubilant Hotaru dancing away in her own room, gleefully thinking about her being able to get married! Halfway thru her self rejoicing, she glanced upon her 47yen savings, and quickly hide it away and continue her happy merry prancing.
Buchou was checking thru the household inventory and then knocked on her door, asking what plans she have for the day. Hotaru interrupted replied "Afternoon nap!" and heard Buchou walked off. Hotaru paused for a while and quickly dashed out, happily asking Buchou if he had wanted to go book a wedding ceremony slot at the Meiji shrine etc. Buchou went "huuuhhh?!" and told her that he only wanted her to buy soy sauce back.
As Hotaru was on her way and skipped happily going off to buy a bottle of soy sauce with Buchou's 1000yen, she was stopped by a the fruit seller called out to her "Okusan" (Mrs). A surprised Hotaru was sooooo happy to be mistaken as a housewife that she started on her spending spree! whenever she was addressed as a Mrs (LOL)
When she got back, Buchou was shocked to see her "conquest" and asked her what were all those stuff, and did she spend every penny! Hotaru quickly dug for her change and replied of course she wont dare to finish every penny! To Buchou's shock, he only had 2 yen back as change from a 1000yen note! (LOL). In exasperation, Buchou complained she has no financial/ economic sense..but Hotaru happily explained that "beautiful woman has no resistance to special and limited items on sale:)" Buchou replied "You can exclude the beautiful woman term, and its because she is such a spend thrift that resulted in her only having 47 yen in her account!" Hotaru "huffed and puffed" and whined at Buchou's lecture before laying down, but a determined Buchou told her to get up and listen to what he has to say. he wanted her to jot down her expenditure list.
That nite, as Buchou read her note about Beer- she buy whatever much she wanted to drink, Okashi- she buy whatever much she wanted to eat okashi (snacks), Manga zasshi- she buy whatever much she wanted to read manga/magazine only...Buchou nearly died of frustration! As Buchou looked at Hotaru with exasperation, she cheekily asked him if he wanted to have some watermelon! haaaa
When they were eating watermelon, Buchou asked how does she intend to book a ceremony venue if she is penniless? Hotaru innocently asked if Buchou is poor too and he quickly retorted she can drop the idea of eyeing on his savings. He asked how could she be like this (i think being carefree about monetary things), and she replied that she doesnt really care, plus she can do without a ceremony. He explained that wasnt what he was refering to but rather she has no concept of savings. Hotaru replied immediately "That's right!" and a surprised Buchou asked "Reaally?!! All these while you never have a concept of saving?" Hotaru said she did try before but it was futile. Buchou gave her an incredulous look as Hotaru happily went "peeeeooow" to spit out the melon seed.
As Hotaru sat in her room and ponder about the word "Setsuyaku (Saving)", she pinned the note onto the wall next to the "Getting Married".
Next morning. Hotaru excitedly greeted Buchou and showed him the homemade bento she made in attempts to save money. Buchou gave a happy smile as she happily showed him the 2 set of bento made for him and her. "From today onwards, I shall be a thrifty beauty!" Hotaru exclaimed happily. Buchou smiled and said "You can exclude the beauty and your efforts are well noted!" Hearing that, Hotaru was cheered and went "Fighting!" and asked Buchou to join in. He replied that he has long been a thrifty good looker but Hotaru said its okay and grabbed his hands anyway to join in the cheer!
At work, Senso was sharing with Hotaru good news about his planning design being selected for consideration for a 20billion renovation project . As Hotaru screamed "20billion?!!" everyone else in the office was abuzz with excitement. The manager hushed them to get back to work and Hotaru exclaimed"yeah that's right, 20billion isnt considered a large project budget to get overly excited" Buchou sitting at the back thought to himself cynically as as he stare at Hotaru" You 47yen woman!"
Seno asked what Hotaru was up to and she explained she was doing a Kid's fair for a business/shop street a budget of 50thousand yen. Seno exclaimed its such a small budget and dont bother to put in so much effort. However Hotaru corrected him that regardless of budget, they should always do their best to do a good job. Seno went "yes yes....stop being so naggy" as he causally sat her down. Just then problem crop up and one of the store called to say they wont take part in the fair due to lack of budget. Hotaru sadly took down the poster as requested. Then an idea hit her and she returned to the manager and said "even if you dont have enough money, I will help to think of something!" Meanwhile in the rest room, Sachiko realised she made a mistake about being pregnant.
Late that night, Hotaru was hard at work making new concept for the kid's fair. Seno was also back to do more work for the 20billion design. Hotaru remarked that the client has decided not to go forth with Kid's fair to a surprised Seno, but she replied its ok and she will continue to try harder. Seno said she is soo strange. She preached about work ethics again and he told he joking to stop her nagging as he gets a headache just talking to her.
Next morning, Hotaru complained bitterly to Buchou to make it ok to wear sports jersey to work as she has run out of work clothes as she has no money to send them to laundry. Buchou calmly told her to do her own laundry and ironing but Hotaru whined that she is sleepy, tired and its a hassle! Buchou called her name and said he rem "someone declaring that some beauty asserted she will work hard at being thrifty to get married" and he pretended to scout the room ard for the person! "Oh yeah! a sheepish hotaru went and Buchou exclaimed she still had the cheek to say that! Buchou snatched her laundry pile and threw it away as he declare it will be 100million years before this poor person should think about using professional laundry! "Go do your laundry!" and she scrambled away....
At work, Hotaru approached Buchou to review about the revised plans for Kid's fair and he frown at the burned patch on her top. He asked when did she come up with it and she explained she stayed up last nite to complete it. Buchou quickly added he will join her to revisit the client. However halfway, he brought her to Boss boutique to get a new top, explaining it is necessary to be presentable regardless who she meet.
At the store, the owners loved Hotaru's new plan and agreed to go with it, professing that they had thot the company would have just given up when told the clients had no budget, instead he was impressed at how she had revised the plans with customer's situation in mind. then he noticed and commented what an expensive looking top while Buchou looked on smilingly at the back. To his surprise, Hotaru shrugged it off saying its a cheap top. (Haaa haaaa). At that moment, Buchou received a call to say the 20billion project has been aborted.
Hotaru saw seno was depressed though he pretended to shrug it off as nothing. Hotaru followed him out with her usual preaching and Seno turned to tell her to quit bugging him with the same crap lecture, but Hotaru interrupted that after a day's hard work, the beer tastes the best and whipped out a can to him, saying "you have worked very hard and so this beer will sure taste good!"
As she completed the kid's fair work at home, she heard a kid at the door. The kid asked who she is and Hotaru was stunned. The woman rushed in after her daughter and Hotaru didnt know how to explain her presence but the woman said she knew Hotaru is living there and has heard alot about her. She was only here to return the phone Buchou loan her. As hotaru desperately tried to put the mess away, the kid exclaimed it sure was messy and if her daddy wasnt home? Hotaru paused in surprise but the woman said he isnt her real dad. The real dad passed away 3 years ago in an accident. The woman explained she wanted to set up a shop and had made enquires with Buchou.
The woman then gave Hotaru some homemade foodstuff. Hotaru asked isnt she tired after a day's work to make all these? But the woman replied its much cheaper than to buy. "Saving! She is a classic thrify beauty!" Hotaru thought to herself as she stared at the woman. While leaving, she asked Hotaru isnt she getting married since she had heard Buchou wanting to live with her always. A thoughtful Hotaru ate the snack and exclaimed it was delicious!
The kid said she missed "papa" but the mum said she wont see him anymore. The kid asked why? She didnt replied. Meanwhile, Hotaru pondered upon the conversation she had with Buchou.
That nite, Buchou casually mentioned about the woman having called him about their visit but all Hotaru took in was that he addressed the woman in non formally but called hotaru in her full name. "Why do you call me Amemiya? (full name)" "because you are amemiya!" "but 3 years ago, you only address me by my nickname!" Hotaru said. "Nickname?" "Yes,, Ahomiya" "Yes but you were an aho (simpleton/idiot) back then!" Buchou replied. "So I am not an idiot anymore?" She asked. "Didnt you say you are already a cool OL? Didnt you grow up alot?" However Hotaru wasnt pleased at all....Hotaru then commented about the stars, and about there was a very small star but tried its very best to sparkle. Buchou not realising Hotaru's mood replied scientifcally that the star prob has exploded and disappeared by now.
Hotaru cried out "Buchou!!!" He was shocked at her reaction and asked what happened! "That little star is ME!" That star is you? Buchou asked in shock."I dont want to disappear! even though its small and weak but I too want to try my best to glow brightly, by Buchou's side, to glow bright;y!!! But it looks impossible... Iw ill surely disappear. I will never be associated as the classic thrify beauty." Hotaru confided sadly...
"Didnt the thrifty beauty go on a holiday?" He explained that he completely understand that she cannot fulfil her "promise" now as she is overrun by work, and that he understand her completely. Hotaru looked up at Buchou hopefully. Buchou offered her a can of beer to a despondent Hotaru, and she looked at him mingled with feelings but then suddenly she sprouted what is "Iberico Buta(pork)" Buchou excitedly explained it was a spain pork and how delicious it is...and that its very expensive. Hotaru exclaimed in excitement and Buchou asked what, but she smiled to herself without a word. She rem the prize to the kid's fair was Iberico pork!
At the fair, Seno joked she should join in the kid's race and she nodded. A surprised seno said he is joking, but Hotaru was just consumed with winnin the pork. The kid appeared saying that Buchou had brought her to the fair as her mum was busy with the store. Word spread that Hotaru was joining the race. Buchou learnt about the prize Iberico and gestured to Hotaru if she was in the race for it and she nodded. As she sped on thinking about the money saved for dinner and how Buchou loved the Iberico, she tried with all her might to win.
Hotaru strolled with Sachiko and they chatted. Sachiko confided her love trouble to Hotaru. Hotaru told her even if there is no money, things will still work out. Hotaru reached home and apologised to a sleeping Buchou for not winning the Ibeico pork, and drew on his face.
Buchou waked and asked what did she draw on his face...and then asked if she is alright after fainted. She replied she is fine and that she didnt sleep and eat enuff. "Not enough food?" Buchou asked her to wait and sped off to the kitchen, presenting rice to her. As he was retiring to bed, he said "Good nite Ahomiya".

Next day, she received 2 bridal dinner and offered to Buchou, because there was Iberico! Buchou was sooo excited saying that even if its alone, he will still go! However, as they got off the lift, they witness Sachiko arguing with Shouji. Buchou and Hotaru both gave up their voucher to the couple seperately. Hotaru said the meal will ensure the couples who dine there a blissful marriage, and Buchou looked on at Hotaru's selfless gift to Sachiko.
At the dinner, Sachiko revealed there is no baby and not to worry. Shouji didnt have reasons to ask her to be with him (as he is poor) and wished her a blissful marriage in the future. Sachiko said his happiness is her happiness. Shouji cried....
At home, Buchou asked her why didnt she go to the dinner. she asked the same since he had said he would go at all cost even alone. "I didnt go because the thrifty beauty should be back soon right now that work has come to a completion. I think she should be back soon!" Buchou teased. Hearing that, she dashed back to her room and repeated "saving saving saving!" An idea hit her and she took all her manga to sell to raise her "saving" However, she spotted a book on "How to save". As she happily share with Buchou she sold her old manga for 580yen, she bought the book for 680yen!Both exclaimed she didnt save at all and he exclaimed "at a loss of 100yen even!"
"but but but, after reading this book, i can save alot!" but she ended up with ways that spent even more money, driving Buchou up the wall! Just then, Seno called to treat her Iberico and she said she will bring home her share. before she left, Buchou billed her for the items consumed. Hotaru said ok and went off chanting "iberico Iberico Iberico!"
Seno smiled at her arrival and asked "iberico buta eh?" Hotaru happily nodded in agreement "Iberico buta!"
